New hotels in with reward categories from 1 to 7 have also been announced.

New Hilton HHonors Categories in Asia
While most of the new Hilton properties are sprouting out across China, the introduction of a number of Category 1 hotels can make mattress runs in the region a little easier (just to keep your status since reward nights are eligible).
Hilton HHonors Category Changes in Asia
Effective from 13 January 2016, two hotels will see a category increase while one hotel will experience a category decrease. It is important to remember that category changes only apply on 13 January 2016 - if you are thinking to stay on 14 January 2016 and you book now, you will still enjoy (or suffer) the current hotel category rates for reward nights:
- INCREASE DoubleTree by Hilton Xiamen - Wuyuan Bay: Category 2 to 3
- INCREASE Hilton Shenzhen Shekou: Category 5 to 6
- DECREASE DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta - Diponegoro: Category 5 to 3
