The Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills is one of the most highly-rated Andaz properties amongst luxury travellers that I know - everyone that has been there has nothing but good things to say about this property. Check out my review of this Category 6 property and find out what makes this one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in!
Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today the opening of Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo, the first Hyatt Centric hotel in the Asia-Pacific region. Located on the fashionable Namiki-dori street in cosmopolitan Ginza, the 164-room full-service lifestyle hotel offers travelers a home base in a neighborhood where even the most avid explorers can stay entertained for days on end. Interior designer Yohei Akao has created flexible spaces and furniture configurations that adjust nimbly. True to the Hyatt Centric brand concept of putting guests at the center of their own unique travel adventure, Akao has embedded touches of Ginza throughout the public spaces and guestrooms in subtle ways that will inspire guests to venture out and explore.
Following the revamp of the loyalty program back in late 2016, World of Hyatt has just announced that free night awards will count towards earning and retaining tier status from 01 January 2018. Previously only Points + Cash awards count towards tier status and allowing free nights to go towards this annual requirement is a much-welcomed change. Additionally, World of Hyatt is also extending the validity dates for certain free night awards from 120 days to 180 days from the date of issuance.
I am a huge fan of the Hyatt brand and even though I have lost my Globalist status earlier this year, the Andaz Singapore has been my most anticipated hotel to open in Singapore this year. Occupying the top floors of one of the iconic DUO skyscrapers, the Andaz Singapore is the first Andaz-branded property to open in Southeast Asia. More importantly, it is a product of two very famous and established architects - Ole Scheeren and Andre Fu. Check out my review of the Andaz Suite here!
While looking for accommodation in Bangkok, I chanced upon the brand new Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit which is scheduled to open in October 2017 (but taking room reservations from December 2017 only). It will be located approximately 200m away from Phrom Phong BTS SkyTrain Station where travellers can enjoy the massive EmDistrict - Emporium, EmQuartier and the soon-to-open EmSphere mall.
Experience a brand new spa journey that incorporates the healing energies of sound and mind-imagery at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong's luxurious Plateau Spa. In partnership with one of the leading sound technology companies of the world, Devialet, the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong will be presenting a 60-minute bespoke “Voyage des Sens” spa experience that is exclusive to this beautiful oasis that is tucked-away in Hong Kong.
The most highly-anticipated (well, at least to me) hotel property to open in Singapore this year, the Andaz Singapore, has secretly opened up reservations from 15 November 2017. Located on 5 Fraser Street, the Andaz Singapore is the latest property that will be opening by Hyatt. While it is not official news that the hotel is opening in November 2017, it seems highly likely that the hotel will since it has started taking reservations - fingers crossed!
Slated to open in January 2018, Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo is set to become Asia's first Hyatt Centric hotel. The relatively new brand by Hyatt offers full-service lifestyle hotels that are strategically located and they have been created for the millennial travellers in mind. The Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo will join the current portfolio of three (Park Hyatt Tokyo, Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, Grand Hyatt Tokyo and Hyatt Regency Tokyo) to become the fifth property to open in the city of Tokyo.
Purchase at least 10,000 Bonus Points with the World of Hyatt program and get 40% more points between now and 9 August 2017. Members are allowed to purchase up to 55,000 Bonus Points each calendar year and they are priced at USD 24 (SGD 33) per block of 1,000 points. Taking advantage of this promotion will reduce the rate to approximately USD 17 (SGD 24) which can potentially be of great value if you use it wisely.
It has been slightly over five years since my last visit to Vietnam and after hearing quite a bit about Danang, I decided to make use of a weekend to go check it out for myself. At the time of writing, there are only two airlines that connect Singapore (SIN) to Danang (DAD) directly - SilkAir and Jetstar. While I have previously considered the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (especially since it has won the Best Resort Hotel in Asia-Pacific), I decided to go with the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa in the end and I am truly glad I made that right decision.
