I tried the Champagne Brunch at Melt ~ The World Café last year and was blown away by the sheer variety and quality of the fresh seafood, unlimited foie gras and beautifully-executed Indian food last year. This National Day, Melt ~ The World Café will be bringing to you the best of the Singapore Hawker Heritage Stalls.
Available on the 09 August 2015 only, the special National Day Dinner at Melt ~ The World Café will feature dishes like the Hainanese Chicken Rice, Oyster Omelette (live station), Claypot Bak Kut Teh, Katong Laksa, Popiah, Kueh Pie Tee, Assorted East Coast Satay, Hokkien Prawn Noodle, Rojak Hut, Traditional Chinese Barbeque Roast, Ice Kachang and everyone's favourite at the moment, Peranakan Durian!

Indulge in a lavish spread of traditional Bavarian cuisine, German beers and good cheer in celebration of Oktoberfest (2016) at Melt Cafe (Mandarin Oriental, Singapore) between 22 September 2016 and 02 October 2016. Held since 1810, Oktoberfest is the largest and most celebrated beer festival which plays an important part of Bavarian culture - it features a wide array of savoury and rich traditional home-style cuisine paired with authentic German beers and vibrant music. Guests will also be able to look forward to the Bavarian Butcher’s selection of the finest German sausages, such as Bratwurst, Nürnberger Rostbratwurst, Frankfurter Bockwurst, Bauernwurst, Weisswurst, served with a delectable side of sauerkraut, horseradish and sweet mustard.
In conjunction with the annual Gusto Italiano, Guest Chef Emanuele Mazzella (who holds a number of Michelin-stars) will be showcasing a spectacular menu of the finest cuisine at Dolce Vita at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore from 12 to 15 October 2016. Born in Ischia on the Amalfi coast, Chef Mazzella’s culinary passion started when he was a child as he became fascinated by the scents from his father’s vegetable garden, then falling in love with his mother’s cooking in the kitchen. With his firm belief of incorporating local seasonal ingredients, Chef Mazzella features outstanding dishes with natural flavours.
Located within the luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, the award-winning Cantonese restaurant, Cherry Garden has recently took home the award of Best Business Lunch (Non-Western) category at the G Restaurant Awards 2016. In celebration with this amazing achievement, Executive Chinese Chef Cheng Hon Chau will be showcasing his specialties in new lunch menus from July to September 2016.
Anyone that has been to Melt Cafe (located inside the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore) knows that the Indian food there is amazing (even on a normal day!). So when I got news that Indian Specialty Chef Santosh Kumar is currently showcasing a wider variety of Indian cuisine at the Melt Cafe from 16 to 31 May 2016, you can imagine my excitement! While there isn't a wine-pairing dinner this year (unlike last year), you should still expect a feast to remember.
I've stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore multiple times (always for leisure) and I have dined at the newly-refreshed Melt Cafe on several occasions but even then, I have not had the pleasure of checking out the afternoon tea selection at the Axis Bar and Lounge. In case you do not already know, the afternoon tea menu changes on a monthly basis and for the month of June 2016, diners will be able to indulge in a carefully-curated list of canapes that is anchored around the use of berries.
In case you do not already know, Chef Metin Isci from the luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum (which overlooks Paradise Bay) is serving up authentic Turkish Delicacies at the newly-refreshed Melt Cafe at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. What's more important to note however is that there is only less than a week left to savour the exquisite Turkish flavours at Melt Cafe since this is only running until 12 March 2016.
I have always been a huge fan of the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore (as well as the larger Mandarin Oriental brand). Having stayed in the Singapore, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur properties, Mandarin Oriental to me, is synonymous to some of the greatest luxuries and indulgences one can partake in.
