The UOB PRVI Miles American Express card will soon get contactless payment enabled - could this be a step towards the whole Apple Pay movement? If you are an existing cardholder, you should definitely request for the new card (via SMS) as you will be able to earn 10 Miles per S$5 (2 miles per dollar) spent via contactless payment at participating supermarkets between 01 June 2016 to 30 November 2016.
This isn't exactly fantastic news since you can do get 20 miles per S$5 with PayWave transactions on the UOB Preferred Platinum Visa (PPV) Credit Card. If you do shop at Cold Storage, Giant, Jasons or Marketplace for groceries, do remember that the UOB PPV does not award 20 miles per S$5 as you will only earn 0.5% SMART$ Rebate on those merchants with your UOB PPV. There are obviously better cards to use to get better miles but if you are thinking about using the UOB PRVI miles AmEx card, you should consider getting the new version for enhanced points accrual rates.
The additional UNI$ is limited to UNI$75 (equivalent to additional 150 miles or spend of S$250) per Card Account per calendar month and will be credited within one (1) month at the end of each calendar month.

Now that Starwood Hotels and Resorts is part of the greater Marriott International portfolio, it would make sense to view the brands simultaneously (especially since you get reciprocal elite benefits across SPG, Marriott Rewards and Ritz-Carlton Rewards now). For stays between 27 May 2017 and 4 September 2017, be sure to register for Marriott Rewards' MegaBonus and SPG's Take Three promotion to maximise on the upcoming stays. If you do not have any status with any program, remember you can get SPG Gold (and therefore Marriott Rewards Gold) with just one stay if you have a World MasterCard issued in Asia-Pacific!
A couple of days ago I was considering the purchase of a Qantas Club membership - this is basically a paid membership with Qantas that offers a number of benefits for the cardholder whenever he or she travels on an eligible Qantas or Jetstar flight. The main benefit that I am interested in is access to the Qantas lounges - I have previously checked out the Qantas International Lounges in Singapore and Hong Kong respectively (when I used to hold Gold status with the program).
New Accelerate offers are up and you can now sign-in to see what your offers are for the upcoming quarter (15 May 2017 to 31 August 2017) ahead! If you hold a MasterCard (and of course you should since the DBS Woman's World MasterCard needs to be in every Singaporean's wallet), you will be eligible for 12% off hotel bookings made on Expedia. All you have to do is to register the first six digits of your MasterCard in order to get a unique coupon code - if you wish to find out whether your desired hotel is participating in this promotion, you may use '542089' but do remember that the payment needs to be completed using an eligible MasterCard. I am also not sure if this promotion will stack with ShopBack but it is worth a try.
