Located within the luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, the award-winning Cantonese restaurant, Cherry Garden has recently took home the award of Best Business Lunch (Non-Western) category at the G Restaurant Awards 2016. In celebration with this amazing achievement, Executive Chinese Chef Cheng Hon Chau will be showcasing his specialties in new lunch menus from July to September 2016.
This July, Chef Cheng will be featuring some of his childhood favourites in the new lunch menus - thick soup of conpoy, chicken julienne,mushrooms, bamboo shoots and yellow chives, steamed fillet of cod with red dates, snowfungus and enoki mushrooms, as well as poached chicken with ginger scallion sauce.
August will see the hearty and comforting lamb casserole, bursting with flavours from slow cooking juicy lamb morsels with bamboo shoots, fungus, Chinese mushrooms and beancurd sticks. The casserole will be paired with the black garlic fragrant fried rice, steamed fillet of cod with preserved mei cai vegetables and homemade tofu, as well as the cherries in nui er hong and aged kuei hua wine cocktail jelly, served with refreshing lychee sorbet. Finally, indulge in September’s crisp-fried marinated duck stuffed with glutinous rice where the distinctive layers of poultry and rice form delicious textures and tastes, accompanied by other tantalising dishes, including sea treasure with zucchini soup, tofu and silver sprouts, wok-fried lobster with celery and mushrooms, soy-marinated jellyfish salad and homemade organic black bean pudding with Japanese sesame ice cream.
