Between now until 02 October 2016, savour a mouth-watering spread of Vietnamese favourites at The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore's Town Restaurant as three guest chefs from the luxurious The Nam Hai, Hoi An in Vietnam bring some of the region's best to our sunny island. This dinner-only buffet will be made available for a short period of time only so if you are a huge fan of Vietnamese cuisine, be sure to head on down to check it out.
Be prepared to find a carefully-prepared Suckling Pig as part of the buffet spread - lovers of Vietnamese cuisine will be delighted! I love how succulent and soft the meat is but the skin was just a little too tough for my liking.
Another notable dish could be the Char-grilled Calamari which is located next to the Suckling Pig - you wouldn't miss it! Just remember to grab them when they come out hot for maximum satisfaction! Guests with a vegetarian preference can relish in the Char-grilled Egg Plant, Braised Tofu with Red Bean Sauce, Garlic and Herbs and Local Mushrooms sautéed with Sawtooth Herb and Garlic.
If you love the fresh Vietnamese salads, you will be spoilt for choice here at Town Restaurant - select from popular salads like the Banana Flower Salad with Smoked Duck, Lime-marinated Beef Salad as well as the “Tien Vua” Salad – a combination of marinated tofu, tomato, roasted peanuts, lime and herbs.
At the live noodles station, the chefs will be preparing piping hot portions of Cau Lau (a regional dish that is largely found in Hoi An only), Pho Bo (Beef Pho) and Pho Ga (Chicken Pho). Add the condiments to your liking and enjoy your bowl of freshly-cooked noodles!
Street food staples such as Banh Mi and Ban Xeo – Crispy Coconut Pancake with Dipping Sauce – will also be prepared à la minute.
