Established back in 2013, The Shutterwhale was born through the aspiration to wander and the desire for escaping the monotony of day-to-day life. The website focuses on unbiased luxury hotel reviews (mostly self-funded), exclusive travel experiences which include flights in First Class and Business Class, as well as airport lounge reviews in the region.
As a professional management consultant in the data analytics field, The Shutterwhale (which is not a full-time job, but a serious hobby) aims to update readers on the latest deals in the market. Apart from credit card guides (helping readers access luxury experiences at a fraction of the price) and reviews, the website also helps readers stay informed on industry news and promotions.
The Shutterwhale has been featured on both international and local media outlets including (but not limited to) the Forbes Travel Guide, The Business Times, The Straits Times, SilverKris, and WINE&DINE. In-person interviews have also been done on radio stations like 938LIVE (now CNA938) and UFM100.3 in English and Mandarin respectively.
