Automated Room Upgrades

Hilton Honors Diamond and Gold members with reservations made at least 72 hours prior to the check-in date will now receive automated upgrades - this enhancement will allow members to choose their upgrade room directly when they check-in via the Hilton Honors app. Do note upgrades will be processed by the property manually for reservations that have been made closer to the date (less than 72 hours prior to the check-in date).

According to the newly-published terms and conditions, rooms will be upgraded in the following order:

  • Lifetime Diamond (highest priority)

  • Diamond

  • Gold

Eligible members will receive an email and a Hilton Honors app push notification alerting them of their complimentary upgraded room. Once received, if the hotel offers Digital Check-In, the member can easily choose the location of their upgraded room through the app 36 hours prior to arrival. All stays under seven nights are eligible for this early confirmation, and it will be available in the coming months at all Hilton brands globally where space-available upgrades are currently offered, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Canopy by Hilton, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Signia by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

Access Digital Key on More Then One Device with Digital Key Share

The Digital Key Share technology will allow more than one guest to have access to their room's Digital Key. Since its launch in 2015, the Digital Key initiative has reduced plastic waste by 125 tons and it will further Hilton's Travel with Purpose commitment to cut its environmental footprint in half by 2030. The primary guest will soon be able to share their active Digital Key with up to four additional people or devices from the Hilton Honors app - guests who accept a share will have access to the room and property throughout the duration of the stay and, for security purposes, cannot further share the Digital Key.

Book and Confirm Connecting Rooms

Travellers will soon be able to instantly confirm at least two connecting rooms when booking rooms across any participating hotels within the portfolio's 18 brands. After searching for the desired number of rooms, alongside the destination and dates, guests will have the option to select the "connecting rooms" option if required.
