Win One Million World of Hyatt Points with Grand Hyatt Singapore's Moments of More Contest - Submit by 29 September 2023
The Grand Hyatt Singapore closed completely back on 19 September 2022 to make way for extensive renovation works, and it is slated to reopen in phases from Q1 2024. The hotel is expected to be A Grand Living Room and Wellness Haven on Orchard Road with 699 guestrooms and suites with a range of theatrical gourmet and lifestyle concepts. Chef-entrepreneur Sergio Herman will also be opening his first restaurant in Singapore, Le Pristine, at the Grand Hyatt Singapore's iconic mezzanine level.
In anticipation of the property's grand opening, Grand Hyatt Singapore has launched a visual storytelling contest that is open to everyone to share their most treasured experiences that are off the beaten path in Singapore - the grand prize is one million World of Hyatt points which can be used to redeem for free nights, room upgrades, gourmet, as well as wellness experiences at participating Hyatt properties around the world.

What Can You Do with One Million World of Hyatt Points?
World of Hyatt points can be used for free nights across participating Hyatt properties around the world, or they can also be utilised for room upgrades, or property credit to pay for things like dining, spa, or even parking at participating locations. With that being said, you will generally get the most value out of your World of Hyatt points when you redeem them for free nights. Every participating property in the World of Hyatt portfolio belongs to a Hotel Category - each free night then requires a fixed number of points depending on whether it is an Off-Peak, Standard, or Peak night.
As you can see in the chart above, a free night starts from just 3,500 points at a Category 1 property. If you are based in Singapore, there are plenty of Category 1 properties in the region like the Studios at Alila Seminyak, Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit, Hyatt Regency West Hanoi, and Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur just to name a few. Obviously, it is extremely unlikely that you will end up paying on Off-Peak rates while staying at these properties but one million points can get you 285 nights at these properties if you were to redeem them on Off-Peak nights (at 3,500 points per night).
On the other end of the spectrum, Category 8 properties require 35,000 points per night on Off-Peak days. While there may be exceptions, Category 8 properties are typically really expensive so redeeming points for these stays can make a lot of sense. Some notable Category 8 properties include the Park Hyatt Kyoto, Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono, Park Hyatt Sydney, Park Hyatt New York, as well as the famous adults-only Alila Ventana Big Sur. With careful planning, you can yield 28 nights at some of the most expensive Hyatt properties in the world with a million points.
How to Take Part?
The Moments of More contest is inviting travelers to share their treasured experiences that are off the beaten path in Singapore - they will have to answer the following question as part of their submission: What do these recommendations mean to you and why are they unique? Contest participants may submit up to six photos and/or videos (up to 30 seconds) and they must include at least one (and up to three) of the aforementioned themes to showcase their personalised recommendation in Singapore. All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM (Singapore Time) on 29 September 2023, and no further submissions will be entertained following this cut-off time.
Time is running out to take part in the Moments of More contest - the grand prize of one million World of Hyatt points is unbeatable and as mentioned earlier, you do not need to be a resident of Singapore to take part in this contest but the personal recommendations will have to be for Singapore.
