Aman Singapore to Open in 2028 at 8 Shenton Way, the Tallest Building in Singapore
Aman has confirmed its entry into Singapore with the upcoming opening of Aman Singapore. This will be the brand’s first property in the city and one of the few urban projects in its global portfolio. Known for resorts in destinations such as Bhutan, Bali, and Kyoto, Aman has typically focused on remote settings. Its move into Singapore highlights a growing push towards urban sanctuaries in major cities.
The hotel will be housed in The Skywaters on 8 Shenton Way which will stand at 305 metres across 63 storeys. The tower will become the tallest building in Singapore upon completion. The development will include offices, retail, residences, public plazas, and green spaces. A defining feature of the tower will be its seven landscaped terraces, introduced every few floors to create vertical greenery and improve natural ventilation. The façade will feature terracotta, bamboo-inspired design elements, and curved bay windows to soften the tower’s profile and align with Singapore’s sustainability goals.
While full details of Aman Singapore have yet to be released, the property is expected to follow the brand’s signature style of minimalism and emphasis on wellness. Guest rooms and suites will be designed with a restrained approach, focusing on natural materials and city or harbour views. The hotel will also include a comprehensive spa, wellness facilities, and a range of dining concepts. Sky gardens within the tower will provide outdoor space for guests while offering panoramic views of Marina Bay and the wider city.
The opening of Aman Singapore will add another major name to the city’s luxury hotel landscape, which already includes Raffles, Capella, and Marina Bay Sands. The project is significant for several reasons. It marks Aman’s first presence in Singapore, strengthens its urban portfolio, and places the brand in the tallest building in the country.
