Now Accepting Reservations: Sheraton Johor Bahru to Welcome Guests from 1 October 2025
Set to become a new landmark in Southern Malaysia, Sheraton Johor Bahru is now accepting reservations for stays from 1 October 2025. This highly anticipated property aims to redefine upscale hospitality in the city with its blend of modern design, intuitive service, and destination-focused amenities. Located in a dynamic district of Johor Bahru, the new Sheraton Johor Bahru promises a welcoming retreat for both business and leisure travellers. It features 345 thoughtfully designed guestrooms, including 30 suites and 10 family rooms that cater to multigenerational travellers or those seeking more space.
Guests can also unwind at the Pool Bar, adjacent to the Sheraton Johor Bahru’s leisure area that includes a full-sized swimming pool, kids wading pool, fitness centre, and a thoughtfully landscaped Pocket Park. Sheraton Johor Bahru will introduce four distinct dining concepts, each offering a unique culinary experience:
Daily Social – the hotel’s all-day dining venue with international favourites
&More by Sheraton Lounge – a signature brand space blending coffee bar and cocktail lounge
Soo Noodles – paying homage to comforting Asian staples
The Unspoken Bar – ideal for winding down with crafted cocktails and bites
Catering to MICE and corporate events, Sheraton Johor Bahru will feature versatile event spaces, including a Grand Ballroom that can host up to 600 guests for a banquet, complemented by flexible meeting rooms and a collaborative studio space ideal for smaller workshops or private meetings.
Adding to its appeal, the hotel will offer direct access to a boutique mall, expected to open by the end of 2025, creating a seamless blend of accommodation, shopping, dining, and lifestyle experiences under one roof.
With Johor Bahru becoming increasingly accessible from Singapore and positioning itself as a lifestyle and business hub in its own right, the Sheraton Johor Bahru is poised to be a compelling option for weekenders, families, corporate travellers, and Marriott Bonvoy members looking to earn and burn points closer to home. Reservations for stays from 1 October 2025 are now open via marriott.com or the Marriott Bonvoy app.
A look inside the Emirates Lounge at Auckland Airport, which is currently serving Qantas Business Class passengers during the Qantas lounge renovation. While pleasant and functional, the experience was ultimately unremarkable, leaving me eager to see the all-new Qantas International Lounge when it debuts in 2026.
