Far East Hospitality Joins Global Hotel Alliance: 26 Hotels and Serviced Residences Coming to GHA DISCOVERY in Early 2027
Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) has announced that Far East Hospitality is joining the alliance, bringing 26 hotels and serviced residences (6,212 rooms) across Singapore, Malaysia and Japan into GHA DISCOVERY. The properties are expected to be fully integrated into the programme in early 2027. No exact date has been given yet. For Singapore-based travellers, this is a notable addition. Far East Hospitality is one of the largest local hotel operators. Its Oasia, Village, Quincy and Rendezvous hotels are names most of us are already familiar with, and its Far East Collection includes some of the city’s more characterful heritage properties.
The participating properties span five brands: Oasia, Quincy, Rendezvous, Village and Far East Collection. There are also two properties under Far East Hospitality’s TFE Hotels joint venture, Vibe Hotel Singapore Orchard and Adina Serviced Apartments Singapore Orchard. That works out to 22 of the 26 properties in Singapore, one in Kuala Lumpur and three in the Tokyo/Yokohama area.
| Country | Hotels | Serviced Residences |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore | Oasia Hotel Downtown, Oasia Hotel Novena, Oasia Resort Sentosa, Quincy Hotel Singapore, Rendezvous Hotel Singapore, Orchard Rendezvous Hotel, Village Hotel Bugis, Village Hotel Katong, Village Hotel Albert Court, Village Hotel Changi, Village Hotel Sentosa, AMOY, The Clan Hotel Singapore, The Outpost Hotel Sentosa, The Barracks Hotel Sentosa, Vibe Hotel Singapore Orchard | Oasia Residence Singapore, Quincy House Singapore, Village Residence Hougang, Village Residence Robertson Quay, Adina Serviced Apartments Singapore Orchard, Orchard Parksuites |
| Malaysia | Oasia Suites Kuala Lumpur | - |
| Japan | Far East Village Hotel Tokyo, Asakusa; Far East Village Hotel Tokyo, Ariake; Far East Village Hotel Yokohama | - |
Far East Hospitality’s wider portfolio is much larger (over 100 hotels in 11 countries, including the Adina, Vibe and Travelodge hotels in Australia and Europe through TFE Hotels). However, only the properties listed above are part of this deal for now.
What This Means for GHA DISCOVERY Members
Once integration goes live, members will be able to earn and redeem Discovery Dollars (D$) at these properties, as well as access member rates, tier recognition and local offers. Since D$ can be earned and redeemed across all GHA brands, you will be able to earn them locally and spend them overseas at one of the aforementioned participating properties, or vice versa.
I see three main wins here:
More staycation options at home. GHA’s Singapore footprint was already decent, but this adds Sentosa resort options (Oasia Resort, The Outpost, The Barracks, Village Hotel Sentosa) and heritage properties like AMOY and The Clan. Both groups now draw from the same D$ pool.
Long-stay earning. Serviced residences such as Oasia Residence and Village Residence Robertson Quay are popular for relocations and extended stays. Earning D$ on a multi-week stay could add up meaningfully, depending on how GHA treats long-stay rates.
Japan coverage. The three Far East Village hotels in Tokyo and Yokohama are sensibly priced, well-located options. They help fill a gap in GHA’s Japan offering.
This is not a luxury play. Most of the portfolio sits in the midscale and upper-midscale segment, and there are only a few properties outside Singapore. That said, Far East Hospitality is exactly the type of regional operator GHA’s model is built for. For Singapore-based members, it is a practical boost to the programme’s local relevance. The elephant in the room is the details. The finer points of how benefits will apply (particularly upgrades, breakfast benefits, and recognition at serviced residences, and which rates will be D$-eligible) have not been released.
Oasia, Village, Quincy and Rendezvous are joining GHA DISCOVERY. Here is the full list of 26 participating properties and why this matters for Singapore staycations.
