Hotel Review: Grand Hyatt Guangzhou (Grand Premium Suite) - Great Location but Dated Rooms
The Grand Hyatt Guangzhou delivers a solid and well-rounded stay experience that represents exceptional value, especially when compared to flashier alternatives in the area like the W Guangzhou. From the spacious Grand Premium Suite with panoramic city views to the consistently high-quality breakfast at The Market Café, the hotel balances comfort, practicality, and service well. While the club lounge is functional but unremarkable in terms of F&B, access to it—along with suite upgrades and late check-out—adds meaningful benefits for Globalist members.
Hotel Review: W Guangzhou (WOW Suite) - A Rare W Hotel with a Club Lounge
W Guangzhou is the only W Hotel that I have been to with a Club Lounge and the space is truly stunning! Check out my experience is a ridiculously-large WOW Suite here!
Lounge Review: Premium Lounge (Terminal 2) - Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN)
Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) is a relatively new addition to the third busiest airport in China. Officially opened back in April 2018, this 600,000 sqm space is home to China Southern Airlines but more importantly, a brand new lounge (accessible via Priority Pass) that I was meaning to check out — Premium Lounge. My flight from Guangzhou back to Singapore was on Singapore Airlines and it was conveniently departing from the relatively-new Terminal 2 of the airport.
