I have stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru a couple of times in a One Bedroom Suite and an Executive Room. The DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru is located approximately 15 minutes drive from the Woodlands Checkpoint (provided there is no congestion) and being a Category 1 hotel, it is extremely worth it at just 5,000 Hilton HHonors Points a night. The hotel is however going to become a Category 2 hotel soon so be sure to redeem your Hilton Honors points early!
