Hotel Review: The St. Regis Singapore (Executive Deluxe Room)

The first St. Regis Hotel was built by one of the wealthiest man in America and ever since then, the St. Regis brand has been synonymous with luxury and opulence - a private retreat for distinguished travellers and those who appreciate the finer things in life. Having been to the Brasserie Les Saveurs, La Brezza and the famous Yan Ting on multiple occasions, I was excited to spend a weekend in what is allegedly, Singapore's most prestigious address - the St. Regis Singapore.

5 Hotel Stays to Remember in 2015

As 2015 comes to a close, I would like to reflect on some of the most memorable hotel stays that I have had this year. Not only did I check out one of the most haunted hotels in Asia, I also went to the most opulent one (in my opinion). 2015 was also the year that I managed to bring my toy poodle (lawfully) to a weekend staycation that I enjoy so much (on a far-too-regular basis). In addition to all that, I also had the opportunity to experience living in my very own Serviced Suite (even for a night) in the heart of Singapore while having some time to check out one of the most beautiful beach resorts in Phuket (which serves excellent Thai food) on a separate weekend.

Hotel Review: Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel (Pool Terrace Room)

The Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel has surprised me tremendously with the Pool Terrace Rooms. While the Executive Rooms were quite typical of a five-star business hotel, the Pool Terrace Rooms are on a whole different league of its own (in the best way possible). Apart from enjoying more space and executive lounge privileges, my experience at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza reminded me more of a luxurious spa retreat more than a typical weekend staycation. Having the swimming pool at your doorstep and that amazing lunch at Pool Grill also definitely help to create this unique experience in the heart of Singapore's busiest shopping strip.

After getting my SPG Gold the easy way with just one stay, I have been very inclined to try out Starwood properties in Singapore (and around the Asia-Pacific region). Having been to the Sheraton Towers Singapore on multiple occasions, I've decided to give the W Singapore Sentosa Cove a go one weekend. Check out my stay at the W Singapore Sentosa Cove's Fabulous Room!

Check out my review of a Club View room at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. After spending three nights at this beautiful property, I guess it is safe to say that the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is hands down my personal favourite hotel in Bangkok and I can't wait to revisit it again next year!

Hotel Review: Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur

I stayed in a Club Deluxe City View room at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur.when I visited in September 2015 and since I arrived pretty late (approximately 9PM), my room was already turned down for the night. The first thing you would probably notice about the room is that the decor is slightly dated but fret not because the hotel is actually going through a refurbishment process so the rooms are going to be spanking new in no time. With that being said, the quality of product is still not being compromised.

Hotel Review: Sheraton Towers Singapore (Executive Suite)

Here's a bit of an interesting fact when you stay in an Executive Suite at the Sheraton Towers Singapore - you may be given one of the regular Premium Suites or one of the special Heritage Cities Suites. There are only a handful of Heritage Cities Suites and they are deliberated themed after distinctive heritage cities from all around the world with carefully selected furniture and design. During my stay, I was lucky enough to be given the Copenhagen Executive Suite which is inspired by the capital of Denmark.

Hotel Review: Conrad Centennial Singapore (Centennial Suite)

For this stay, I took advantage of the previous Discover Asia sale (up to 30% off) and saved quite a bit on the Centennial Suite reservation. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the location of the Conrad Centennial Singapore, it is located next to Millenia Walk and if you are coming by MRT, the closest stop would be Promenade on the Circle Line. Check out my review of the Conrad Centennial Singapore's Centennial Suite now!
