Hotel Review: Sule Shangri-La, Yangon (Horizon Club Room)

While Myanmar is slowly opening up to more tourists and foreign investments, it is still in its infancy stage of mass tourism so if you are interested to see the city before it evolves into that, it is best to go there by the end of 2017. Located along Sule Pagoda Road lies one of the most luxurious hotels in the city of Yangon - the Sule Shangri-La, Yangon. Following an extensive refurbishment and training for the staff of the property, the Sule Shangri-La, Yangon was rebranded from a Traders Hotel in 2014. I opted for the hotel limousine to take me from the Yangon International Airport to the hotel and similar to an earlier stay at the Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang, the limousine came equipped with high-speed WiFi so you can remain connected on the ride to the hotel.

Hotel Review: Aerotel Singapore (M Room) - Transit Hotel in Changi Airport

Everyone knows the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport is the world's best airport hotel and so imagine the look on everyone's faces when I told them that the best transit hotel in Changi Airport is the Aerotel Singapore. It is important to note that the Aerotel Singapore is a transit hotel - this means to say that the hotel is well, within the transit area of the Changi Airport.

Hotel Review: Hilton Singapore (Executive Room) - A 2016 Revisit

Located along the famous Orchard Road, the Hilton Singapore is one of the first few hotels that I have visited in Singapore when I relocated back in 2013 - I also revisited the property in 2014 as a Hilton HHonors Gold Member. During my latest visit this month in October 2016, I checked into the Hilton Singapore once again as a Hilton HHonors Diamond Member and even though I booked my stay via an OTA, I was given the benefits for being a Diamond Member (something that is no longer required by the program).

Hotel Review: Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok (Grand Executive Suite King)

When I checked out the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok last year, I was really impressed by (first) the lobby. Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I am a massive Hyatt fan - I love them for having one of the best loyalty programs in the market, the brand consistencies but more importantly, the level of emphasis they put on the food. Read about my experience in the Grand Executive Suite King of the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok!

Hotel Review: InterContinental Singapore (Premier Suite)

The InterContinental Singapore needs no introduction - it is one of the most iconic hotels in Singapore and a favourite amongst many frequent travellers (many of them love the Heritage Suites which were previously know as the Shophouse Suites!). As part of a major refreshment, all the guest rooms and suites (apart from the Heritage ones which went first) have undergone an extensive refurbishment that was only completed earlier this year. While I have been to the InterContinental Singapore on many occasions (especially since I have gotten my InterContinental Ambassador membership), this was my first time at the newly-refurbished Premier Suite.

Hotel Review: Hilton Melbourne South Wharf (Relaxation Suite)

When I visited Melbourne In 2014, I stayed two nights in an Executive Room at the Hilton Melbourne South Wharf and seriously fell in love with it - the view was amazing, the rooms were beautiful and modern but more importantly, that lounge was just perfect to take in the sights. I returned this year in 2016 to check out the amazing Relaxation Suite which I dare say is the most beautiful suite in South Wharf, Melbourne!

Hotel Review: Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa (Villa du Jardin)

When I stayed in the Junior Suite of the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa earlier this year, I fell in love with the place - in fact, I dare say it is my favourite hotel in Sentosa for a weekend escape in Singapore. I had the recent opportunity of running a company event at this beautiful property once more in the crème de la crème room type - the Villa du Jardin. Since I could not seem to find enough photos of the villa while I was researching the place, I made it a point to take a couple of photos so people will know what to expect if they are going to shell out over S$2,000 a night for this amazing space.

Hotel Review: Pan Pacific Orchard (Pacific Club Suite)

The Pan Pacific Orchard is one of my favourite Global Hotel Alliance properties in Singapore - the DISCOVERY Loyalty Program which in my opinion, is one of the best hotel loyalty programs for staycation-goers in Singapore, offers a late check-out of 6PM and early check-in of 9AM for top-tier Black members. I have stayed at the Pan Pacific Orchard on multiple occasions (perhaps ten times already!) and have always gotten the benefits of being a Black member in the DISCOVERY Loyalty program. The Pacific Club Studio is my favourite room type in the hotel and as mentioned in my previous article, you do get a double upgrade (where space is available) for being a Black member.
