The Crowne Plaza Auckland is located on Albert Street in the center of Auckland City. When I travelled down to the City of Sails on Singapore Airlines' Suites Class from Singapore last November, I stayed in The Langham Auckland before moving to the Crowne Plaza Auckland for the weekend - the hotel isn't brand new but moving into a property that is part of a much-larger international chain where benefits are predictable is such a great decision.

Connected to one of the most famous shopping malls in Bugis, the InterContinental Singapore needs no introduction - following a massive refurbishment that officially completed in 2016, the rooms here at this luxurious property have been given a complete makeover. The Heritage Rooms and Heritage Suites were previously redone and were therefore not included in the most recent refresh. As part of my extended vacation in November 2016, I flew directly from Haneda Airport to Hong Kong International Airport via ANA's 787-900 on Business Class. The most memorable hotel during my short stay in Hong Kong has got to be the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong which has in recent years, gone through a series of extensive multi-million dollar renovation phases. Located on Harbour Road in Wan Chai, the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is situated next to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre which makes it a popular accommodation choice amongst business travellers.

The Conrad Tokyo is often regarded as one of Tokyo's best city hotels. When I visited Tokyo in November 2016, I checked out the Singapore Airlines' 777-300ER's Business Class from Singapore to Haneda and I stayed at the Hilton Tokyo for most nights of my trip - it was only 200,000 Hilton Honors points for five nights and having Diamond status in the Hilton Honors program meant guaranteed lounge access. I moved to the luxurious Conrad Tokyo after five nights and was truly impressed by the service and design of this place.

I spent my Christmas Eve back in 2015 in the Pan Pacific Singapore's Pacific Harbour Studio which is easily one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in Singapore. In 2016, I decided that it would be a great idea to revisit the Pan Pacific Singapore's Harbour Studio (one that I used to stay quite a bit back in 2015) on Christmas Day since I had a long weekend away from work. Being a DISCOVERY Loyalty Black Member has its perks - your check-in documents are usually prepared beforehand and therefore you can generally bypass the snaking queues and get to your room (or suite!) a lot faster.

I visited the City of Sails back in November 2016 for work and as much as I wanted to stay in the Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour (check out my review HERE!), the hotel was running high on occupancy and the room rates were way above the rates that I paid back in 2015. Hotel Review: Hilton Tokyo (King Executive Room) - Shinjuku, Tokyo

On my last trip to Tokyo, I checked out the 777-300ER Business Class product on Singapore Airlines when I flew from Singapore to Haneda. Since it was a pretty early flight, I decided to spend the night before at what is perhaps the best transit hotel in Singapore in Terminal One - the Aerotel Singapore. Since Tokyo is notorious for her average room rates (especially when you stay in an internationally-branded hotel chain), I decided to redeem some of my Hilton HHonors Points at the Hilton Tokyo - the rooms are generally 50,000 Hilton HHonors Points a night but you do get the fifth night free so my five-night stay at this centrally-located hotel in Shinjuku costed me only 200,000 Hilton HHonors Points (as opposed to an average room rate of S$650 a night during the month that I visit).
