Hotel Review: The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (Premier Bay View Room)

Located right on the waterfront of the iconic Marina Bay in Singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is one of the city's finest and most luxurious hotels. Known for having the best views of the laser shows that happen nightly in front of the Marina Bay Sands, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is also a great choice for watching the National Day Parade fireworks. Check out my review of the Premier Bay View Room here!

Hotel Review: Mercure Singapore Bugis (Executive Loft)

The Mercure Singapore Bugis is one of Singapore's latest properties by AccorHotels and it is located along Middle Road in Bugis. Positioned as a higher-end four-star property, the Mercure Singapore Bugis offers 395 heritage-inspired rooms (including loft-style rooms!), two restaurants and two bars within the property. AccorHotels has many properties in Singapore and they range from luxury (like the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa) to mid-range business hotels like the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay to more affordable properties like ibis which I have personally not checked out.

Hotel Review: Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa (Regency Suite)

It has been slightly over five years since my last visit to Vietnam and after hearing quite a bit about Danang, I decided to make use of a weekend to go check it out for myself. At the time of writing, there are only two airlines that connect Singapore (SIN) to Danang (DAD) directly - SilkAir and Jetstar. While I have previously considered the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (especially since it has won the Best Resort Hotel in Asia-Pacific), I decided to go with the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa in the end and I am truly glad I made that right decision. Check out my review of the Regency Suite here!

Hotel Review: G Hotel Kelawai (Premier Suite) - Contemporary and Luxurious Hotel in Penang

With more than ten direct flights from Singapore each day, visiting the city of Penang is a great way to spend the weekend. Prior to my flight out of Singapore, I dropped by the Plaza Premium Lounge (which I get complimentary access to due to my credit card) in Terminal 1 of the Changi Airport for some breakfast. While I really enjoyed my previous stay in the beautiful Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang, I wanted to stay somewhere closer to the city this time and so it was between The Eastern & Oriental Hotel and the G Hotel Kelawai (which is different from the G Hotel Gurney that most travelers are familiar with. Hotel Review: Capella Singapore (Two Bedroom Garden Villa) - Family and Pet-Friendly Luxury Hotel in Sentosa

Located on Sentosa Island, the Capella Singapore is arguably Singapore's most luxurious hotel. It is also one of three hotels in Singapore to receive the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating in 2017. What a lot of people do not realise however is that the Capella Singapore is also one of the rare few hotels in Singapore that is pet-friendly. Check out my experience in a Two-Bedroom Garden Villa here at this property.

Hotel Review: Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei (Horizon Club Premier Room)

Taipei is slightly over four hours away from Singapore by plane and it offers some of the most delicious food and nicest people that I have ever met in my life. When I visited Taipei in April 2017, I caught flight BR226 from Singapore and I was seriously impressed by the Royal Laurel product on EVA Air - the seats on the 777-300ER were extremely spacious and personalisation of service is truly something to remember. I was also excited to check out the tallest hotel in Taipei city - the Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei which is famous for having the best view of Taipei 101 and the surrounding city.

Hotel Review: W Taipei (Wonderful Room) - Luxurious Hotel near Taipei City Hall Station

Located in the Xinyi district, W Taipei is one of the most iconic hotels in the city of Taipei - it is also just a stroll away from Taipei City Hall Station, making it easily accessible via the Taipei Metro. There are no lack of luxury hotels in Taipei but if you are looking for a property that belongs to an international chain, you will not find any strong contenders from IHG or Hilton. On the other hand, you will find a number of properties from Starwood and Marriott here - hotels like the W Taipei offers a bold and distinctive decor that is not overly done (unlike some W Hotels in the world) but equally memorable.

Hotel Review: Grand Hyatt Taipei (Grand Suite) - Luxurious Hotel next to Taipei 101

The Grand Hyatt Taipei is one of my favourite hotels and in my opinion, it is one of the best luxury hotels in Taipei. When I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Taipei in 2015, I stayed in a Grand Deluxe Room with an impressive view of the iconic Taipei 101. The presence of international hotel chains in Taipei is rather limited - you will not find anything from Hilton, Accor or IHG in the city and because of that (and other reasons), room rates at internationally-branded hotel chains can be rather costly. Check out my stay in a Grand Suite of the Grand Hyatt Taipei!
