Hotel Review: The St. Regis Shenzhen (Deluxe Room) - Highest Hotel in Shenzhen

When I visited Hong Kong last month, I checked out the brand new Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong which is located in Hung Hom. After staying at the world's highest hotel, The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong last year, I was eager to check out the highest hotel in Shenzhen, The St. Regis Shenzhen which is located on the top floors of the KK100 (京基100). The hotel is possibly the city's most luxurious (and expensive) property and so I took the opportunity to travel down to Shenzhen from Hong Kong via the MTR.

Hotel Review: Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong (Club Premier Sea View Room) - Views of Victoria Harbour

I checked out one of the newest hotels in Hong Kong, the Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong which is located in Hung Hom. This 5-star property is the third Kerry Hotel to be opened in the world by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and it focuses on comfortable luxury. With an amazing view of the Victoria Harbour and located near to an MTR Station, the Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong is fast to become the hotel to watch out for in the coming years ahead.

Hotel Review: Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore (Tower Wing Horizon Club Deluxe Room)

The Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore (which is also the first Shangri-La Hotel in the world) unveiled a brand new Tower Wing with new F&B outlets and refurbished rooms back in May 2017. I checked out the hawker fare in the Lobby Lounge and fell in love with the authentic renditions of local hawker delights. Located slightly off Orchard Road, the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is home to two other wings as well - the Garden Wing (which offers a lush tropical escape from the city) and the Valley Wing (which is opulent and even includes all-day Champagne). Check out my review of the Tower Wing Horizon Club Deluxe room at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore!

Hotel Review: Hotel Jen Beijing (Jen Skyline) - 5-Star Property in Beijing’s Guomao Central Business District

I visited Beijing in China for the first time last month where I flew down from SIN to PEK on Singapore Airlines in Business Class (check out my trip report on SQ802 HERE!). As one of the first passengers to disembark from the plane, I was able to clear immigration fairly quickly and got out of the airport in approximately 30 to 45 minutes. I then met with a representative from Hotel Jen Beijing (which has only quite recently opened) in the public area of the Beijing Capital International Airport before hopping onto a vehicle that took me directly to this newly-built property that is directly connected to the China World Complex.

Hotel Review: The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (Premier Bay View Room)

Located right on the waterfront of the iconic Marina Bay in Singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is one of the city's finest and most luxurious hotels. Known for having the best views of the laser shows that happen nightly in front of the Marina Bay Sands, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is also a great choice for watching the National Day Parade fireworks. Check out my review of the Premier Bay View Room here!

Hotel Review: Mercure Singapore Bugis (Executive Loft)

The Mercure Singapore Bugis is one of Singapore's latest properties by AccorHotels and it is located along Middle Road in Bugis. Positioned as a higher-end four-star property, the Mercure Singapore Bugis offers 395 heritage-inspired rooms (including loft-style rooms!), two restaurants and two bars within the property. AccorHotels has many properties in Singapore and they range from luxury (like the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa) to mid-range business hotels like the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay to more affordable properties like ibis which I have personally not checked out.

Hotel Review: Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa (Regency Suite)

It has been slightly over five years since my last visit to Vietnam and after hearing quite a bit about Danang, I decided to make use of a weekend to go check it out for myself. At the time of writing, there are only two airlines that connect Singapore (SIN) to Danang (DAD) directly - SilkAir and Jetstar. While I have previously considered the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (especially since it has won the Best Resort Hotel in Asia-Pacific), I decided to go with the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa in the end and I am truly glad I made that right decision. Hotel Review: G Hotel Kelawai (Premier Suite) - Contemporary and Luxurious Hotel in Penang

With more than ten direct flights from Singapore each day, visiting the city of Penang is a great way to spend the weekend. Prior to my flight out of Singapore, I dropped by the Plaza Premium Lounge (which I get complimentary access to due to my credit card) in Terminal 1 of the Changi Airport for some breakfast. While I really enjoyed my previous stay in the beautiful Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang, I wanted to stay somewhere closer to the city this time and so it was between The Eastern & Oriental Hotel and the G Hotel Kelawai (which is different from the G Hotel Gurney that most travelers are familiar with. Check out my review of the Premier Suite here!
