Lounge Review: Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge - Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL)

One of the many perks with traveling on Business Class is the airport lounge access that you get before your flight - some of these are impressive like The Private Room in Changi Airport (when you fly First Class or Suites with Singapore Airlines) or the Cathay Pacific Lounge in Haneda Airport. On the other hand, some airport lounges are disappointing and lacklustre - the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is one such example.

Lounge Review: Japan Airlines Sakura Lounge Skyview - Haneda Airport (HND)

Even though I was very tempted to head back to the Cathay Pacific Lounge (and get a double serving of that delicious Wanton Noodles) in Haneda Airport, I decided to check out the JAL Sakura Lounge Skyview this time. Read my review of this beautiful oneworld alliance airport lounge here in Haneda Airport (HND)!

The Importance of Choosing the Right FFP - Earning MVP Status and Two Business Class Tickets from ONE Trip to the US

One of the most common mistakes that people who are new to flying make is crediting their flights into the wrong Frequent Flyer Program (FFP). As many of you would already know, crediting your flights into the right FFP can make a huge difference and I just wanted to highlight this point on a number of flights that I have taken recently. If you have been following me on Instagram, you would have noticed that I travelled to the USA recently on Emirates Business Class - this is a return Business Saver ticket from Singapore (SIN) to New York (JFK) via Dubai (DXB).

Lounge Review: The Emirates Lounge - Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)

The Emirates Lounge in Terminal 1 of Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) undergone refurbishment last year for five months and the new First and Business Class lounge was unveiled in 2017. The last time that I visited this lounge was back in 2014 when I still held Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold status and the lounge was looking a lot more dated then. Since I was traveling to Dubai from Singapore in Business Class, I had access to The Emirates Lounge - this is also accessible to passengers traveling in First Class as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold members travelling in Economy Class.

Lounge Review: Cathay Pacific Lounge - Haneda Airport (HND)

As I was traveling from Haneda Airport (HND) to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Japan Airlines' Business Class, I had access to the Sakura Lounge that is operated by JAL. However, since I missed out on the opportunity to check out the new Cathay Pacific lounge in Singapore Changi Airport's Terminal 4 which has just only opened last year, I decided to forgo the Sakura Lounge and check out the Cathay Pacific Lounge at Haneda Airport (HND) instead.

Lounge Review: Premier Lounge - Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS)

As I was traveling on Singapore Airlines' Business Class cabin from Denpasar to Singapore, I was given access to the Premier Lounge at the Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). If you are traveling in coach or if you do not have lounge access, there are restaurants that you can choose from at the airport but the prices are actually quite high. There are three main airport lounges here at the airport - TG Lounge, Premier Lounge and the Garuda Indonesia Lounge (which is supposedly the best one here).

Lounge Review: Air China First Class Lounge - Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK)

When I visited Beijing back in July this year, I flew back from Beijing to Singapore on Air China's Business Class - it was my very first experience with Air China and even though it was quite a good flight (albeit being delayed for 3 hours), it was very different from what you would expect on a Singapore Airlines flight. Since I visited the Air China Business Class Lounge previously and have experienced firsthand at how busy it can actually get, I made plans to check out the arguably more exclusive Air China First Class Lounge instead this time.

Lounge Review: The Coral First Class Lounge (Phuket International Airport)

When I flew back from Phuket to Singapore on SilkAir, I noticed that the terminal building was different from the one that I was in back in 2015 when I visited the Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort. Apparently, this relatively new terminal building at the Phuket International Airport was only completed back in 2016 - capacity is estimated to be at five million passengers per year. While looking for access to The Coral First Class Lounge, I realised that the The Coral Executive Lounge also provided a First Class VIP Departure Fast Track Service that I took the opportunity to check out during my visit.
