Lounge Review: Emirates Business Class Lounge (Melbourne Airport)
The Emirates Business Class Lounge at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport is a great airport lounge to hangout at if you have a flight on Qantas or Emirates. I popped into the Qantas Business Class Lounge at Melbourne for a bit but felt the need to leave that space pretty quickly. The Qantas Business Class Lounge in Melbourne felt rather stuffy as it did not have windows and it was generally an unpleasant experience. I am glad I decided to make the move to the Emirates Business Class Lounge instead.
Firstly, the Emirates Business Class Lounge has windows! Instead of feeling trapped (which you actually are in the airport), the lounge provides ample space to catch up on reading (or the much dreaded work). You will also enjoy impressive views of the runway and its surroundings.
More importantly, you will be able to enjoy unlimited Moët & Chandon and/or Veuve Clicquot champagne here! If for some reason you do not like champagne, there's also a self-serve bar where you can quench your thirst at the intensity that you prefer.
The overall decor and feel of this lounge is very much like the Emirates Lounge in Singapore Changi Airport (click HERE to check out my review of the Emirates Lounge at Changi Airport). With a decent selection of hot and cold food items, the Emirates Business Class Lounge goes beyond what is traditionally required at airport lounges and provides tasty meals that you can actually enjoy.
There is also a Business Centre if you (for some reason) do not travel with a laptop and require one urgently. So the next time you're travelling via Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport, give the Emirates Business Class Lounge a go and forget about the Qantas Business Class Lounge.
