How Much are IHG Rewards Club Points worth in Singapore?
I have previously written an article on using IHG Rewards Club Points in Singapore - you can redeem for room nights, an InterContinental Ambassador membership, dining and retail vouchers as well as some really random home appliances amongst other things. To be honest, if you travel to places like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bora Bora or other expensive cities, using IHG Points for redemption is not always the best solution. However, this may change if the room rates have soared (due to a Public Holiday or special day like the New Year's Eve for instance) so be sure to watch out for those dates particularly when it is closer in.
Do note that the required IHG Rewards Points above reflect the changes that will be coming into effect on 17 February 2016. Also, the Average Best Flexible Rate refers the a rough estimation on the flexi rates that are usually available on the website - please refer to the actual site if you wish to do a current comparison. From the looks of it, IHG Rewards Club Reward Nights in SIngapore are pretty terrible and you are better off saving for somewhere else like the InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort for 35,000 Points.
