The Best Champagne Deals in Singapore Delivered (At Never Seen Before Prices) for Your Personal Happy Hour at Home

We are already seven weeks in to the circuit breaker period in Singapore and it is safe to say that the thing that I miss most about traveling is drinking. While the hospitality industry is significantly affected by the whole COVID-19 situation, there is a silver lining to all these (for us consumers) - amazing prices on Champagne (even cheaper than getting them from a supermarket or most retailers)!

If you miss the Happy Hour promotion at Bar Square, Andaz Singapore is offering the cheapest name brand Champagne right now! If you are feeling fancy, you can also opt for a delicious bottle from Ruinart and Dom Perignon (obviously at a premium but still at a fantastic price) at a different hotel.

Delamotte Brut NV - Andaz Singapore

The Delamotte Brut NV (the same label at Bar Square during happy hours) is going for just S$55+ (S$58.85 nett) a bottle but at the time of writing, the self pick-up option is not available. Next-day delivery is available so long you submit an order by 11:59 PM the day before (i.e. ordering by 11:59 PM on Monday will get you your drinks on Tuesday after 5:00 PM) and free delivery will be offered if you purchase 6 bottles - you have the option of choosing between the Delamotte Brut NV (S$58.85 nett) or the M de Minuty Limited Edition Mina & Zosen Rosé 2019 (S$35.31 nett).

  • 1 Bottle: S$58.85

Delamotte Brut NV - Grand Hyatt Singapore

Now the Delamotte Brut NV is going for S$60 nett at the Grand Hyatt Singapore but if you are ordering at least 6 bottles, you will be able to enjoy it at a marginally cheaper rate of S$58.67 nett here (as compared to S$58.85 at the Andaz Singapore) - you will also get to enjoy free delivery for orders above S$300 so that makes the cut. If you are planning to have a proper drink session, getting a dozen will offer the most bang for your buck:

  • 1 Bottle: S$60

  • 6 Bottles: S$352 (S$58.67 Each)

  • 12 Bottles: S$694 (S$57.83 Each)

Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut - Grand Hyatt Singapore

Just because we can't head to mezza9 for Sunday Brunch now does not mean we can't recreate that experience at home (at least where the alcohol is concerned). The Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is going for just S$60 nett a bottle and if you buy a dozen, the price goes down to S$57.83 each which is shocking - way cheaper than a bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut that you can get from a supermarket but definitely a whole lot better in terms of taste profile:

  • 1 Bottle: S$60

  • 6 Bottles: S$352 (S$58.67 Each)

  • 12 Bottles: S$694 (S$57.83 Each)

Ruinart, “R” de Ruinart - Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

For most Champagne-drinkers, the “R” de Ruinart is usually reserved for special occasions. There are only a couple of hotels in Singapore that offer free-flowing “R” de Ruinart Champagne at Sunday Brunches (at a premium, of course). Personally, this is one of my favourite Champagne labels (even though Krug is top of this chart for me) and the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is offering it at a ridiculously low price of S$78 nett each - there are no additional savings if you purchase more than 1 bottle but free delivery is offered on orders above S$80. In true spirit of MO Bar, there is also a fantastic offer on Wednesday where you can get 2 bottles of “R” de Ruinart as well as 4 halves of a Boston Lobster (so, a total of two lobsters for those of you who struggle with math) delivered for just S$156 nett:

  • 1 Bottle: S$78

  • 2 Bottles + 4 Half Boston Lobsters (Wednesdays Only): S$156

Ruinart, Blanc de Blancs - Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

If you are a purist and only want to drink a Champagne made entirely of white grapes, the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is also going at a great rate of just S$108 nett each at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. Since free delivery is offered with just S$80 spend, you will not have to worry about a delivery fee with this one:

  • 1 Bottle: S$108

Perrier-Jouet ‘Belle Epoque’ Brut - Grand Hyatt Singapore

Now let's get to the fancier stuff - the Perrier-Jouet ‘Belle Epoque’ Brut (which you can enjoy at mezza9's Sunday Brunch for an additional top-up) is going for S$230 nett a bottle - you will be able to enjoy some savings if you purchase 6 or 12 bottles but the margins are pretty low on this one already. As a quick reminder, free delivery is included if your order exceeds S$300 but you can also opt for a self pick-up or drive-through delivery:

  • 1 Bottle: S$230

  • 6 Bottles: S$1,372 (S$228.67 Each)

  • 12 Bottles: S$2,734 (S$227.83 Each)

Dom Perignon ‘Luminous’ Brut - Grand Hyatt Singapore

If you miss the clubs and have had a proper nightlife experience, you must remember the Dom Perignon ‘Luminous’ Brut - the labels light up like the aurora borealis and they are delicious. Obviously, this is a premium Champagne and probably not one that you will drink on a regular basis but hey if you are interested in raising a glass to Singapore's economy re-opening, this might just be the one for you fancy folks:

  • 1 Bottle: S$270

  • 6 Bottles: S$1,612 (S$268.67 Each)

  • 12 Bottles: S$3,214 (S$267.83 Each)

Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superior D.O.C.G. - Grand Hyatt Singapore

Now I know that prosecco is not Champagne and I personally prefer one over the other (no points for guessing which one) but if you are just looking for affordable sparkling wine that is drinkable, the Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superior D.O.C.G. is going for just S$24 nett a bottle at the Grand Hyatt Singapore - the price goes down to S$21.83 nett if you were to purchase a dozen:

  • 1 Bottle: S$24

  • 6 Bottles: S$136 (S$22.67 Each)

  • 12 Bottles: S$262 (S$21.83 Each)

With bars and entertainment venues slated to open only in Phase Three, there is still a long way to go before we can enjoy our favourite drinks at proper sit-down bars. This whole circuit breaker period may have made it impossible for us to meet our friends physically for a drink but hopefully these amazing Champagne deals will make this and the upcoming Phase One a little more bearable.
