Spas and F&B Establishments (Including Bars) Within Hotels Allowed to Operate from 19 June 2020 - Self-Service Buffets Not Allowed

As part of Phase 2 of Singapore's reopening, most of the facilities located within hotels (including the spa, swimming pools, gyms, as well as F&B outlets) will be allowed to operate from 19 June 2020 but adherence to safe-distancing measures stated in Enterprise Singapore’s (ESG’s) advisory will be required. However, self-service buffets must still be suspended according to the latest Advisory for Phase 2 Re-opening of Food & Beverage Establishments.

Hotels have started to communicate restaurant and spa openings ahead of time - both Yan Ting and Brasserie Les Saveurs at The St. Regis Singapore will officially allow guests to dine-in from 19 June 2020 (Friday). Additionally, the luxurious Remède Spa will also resume operations on the same day so guests can enjoy pampering treatments within the beautiful location. While F&B establishments and bars within hotels will be allowed to operate - liquor sales and consumption must cease by 10:30 PM. Self-service buffets must be suspended during Phase 2 of Singapore's reopening but looking at luxury hotels in neighbouring countries, it is highly probable that hotels will start offering an à la carte buffet experience soon - dining parties should not exceed 5 people per table.

At the time of writing, staycations will still not be allowed in the early stages of Phase 2 of Singapore's reopening but it is the general expectation (based on speculation) is that hotels will start accepting reservations from local residents in this phase at a later date. More details regarding staycations in Phase 2 will be shared once it becomes available.
