Choosing World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards in 2024 at 20 Nights

World of Hyatt introduced some changes (mostly positive) to the loyalty program at the start of 2024 and with that, members can now start to earn Milestone Rewards from just 20 nights. It is important to remember that milestone rewards that require a selection must be made within 90 days from the date on which you earn them - or you will risk losing them. World of Hyatt members who hit 20 eligible nights in a calendar year may select one of the three milestone rewards - 2,000 bonus points on their next eligible stay, 2 Club Access Awards, or $25 FIND Experience Credit.

As a Globalist member who receives club access at all participating Hyatt properties worldwide at an eligible rate, I have no use for Club Access Awards (even though they can be transferred to a friend or family member). Don’t get me wrong though - these awards are valuable and honestly, if I am not a Globalist member, I would most definitely pick them. Since I am based in Singapore and I typically travel in the Asia-Pacific region only, the FIND Experience Credit has also limited value to me. As such, I have decided to pick the 2,000 bonus points (worth USD 48 when you purchase them outside a sale) as my Milestone Reward.

The 2,000 bonus points will be awarded upon completion of the Member's next eligible stay at a Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Caption by Hyatt, or UrCove hotel. Your stay must also have a check-out date within 180 days of choosing this Milestone Reward. If you need to stretch the validity of this milestone reward, you should select it as late as possible, but still within 90 days from the date you earn it. The validity of the 2K Next Stay Award is 180 days from the date you pick it so if you time it well enough, you can essentially use it up to 270 days from the date you have earned it.

I have not personally stayed at Caption by Hyatt or UrCove properties but there are a handful of properties that I would love to check out in the year ahead - they are select-service properties but the newly-built hotels look pretty decent.
