Singapore Airlines to resume Singapore-New York Direct Flights by End 2018 - World's Longest Flight at 19 Hours

Following the introduction of Singapore Airlines' latest regional Business Class product, the flag carrier airline of Singapore is expected to pick up the first of its new ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft in the third quarter of 2018 and they are looking to launch non-stop flights from Singapore to New York by the end of the year. This 19-hour flight will become the world's longest non-stop flight and according to The Straits Times, the airline is also expected to offer non-stop flights to Los Angeles sometime next year.

As you may already know, flying to Hong Kong from Singapore is one of the cheapest ways to experience the Suites Class product on Singapore Airlines - just 37,500 KrisFlyer miles one-way. Trip Report: Air China Business Class A330-300 - PEK to SIN (Beijing to Singapore)

I have grown to love Beijing quite a bit despite spending only less than a week there. Contrary to popular belief, the people were genuinely nice, the city is amazing in terms of technology (e.g mobile payment is available even at a roadside store) and the food is delicious. On my way out of Beijing, I was booked onto an Air China flight (my very first!) from Beijing to Singapore. I got to the Beijing Capital International Airport ahead of time (at least 2.5 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure) and was slightly startled by the number of people at the check-in counter. Emirates Unveils New Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER
