Lounge Review: SATS Premier Lounge (Terminal 2)
There are three SATS Premier Lounges that are located across all three terminals of Changi Airport. There are two kinds of Affinity Membership that you can select from in order to access the SATS Premier Lounges.
- Affinity Infinite - S$600
- Affinity Supreme - S$$60
The former membership plan will give you unlimited access to the SATS Premier Lounges and other participating lounges across different countries. You will also be able to bring in one guest for free and subsequent guests at S$50 each. The latter membership plan gives you ten complimentary access to the SATS Premier Lounges and other participating lounges. Subsequent lounge access is payable at S$44 each time. Please refer to the Affinity Membership page for more information.
I visited the SATS Premier Lounge at Terminal 2 which is located in the Departure Transit Hall on Level 3. As I had a morning flight to catch, I arrived at the lounge around 645am and it was almost empty. There's actually something really comforting about airport lounges providing a place of hospitality in an otherwise transient location.
There's ample of space and different seat configurations for travellers to rest and relax. There are also shower facilities for those who have a short layover in Singapore after a long flight. Numerous power points can be found conveniently next to the seats for you to charge up your power hungry electronics.
If you're feeling peckish, the lounge offers a selection of hot food items, fruits, sandwiches, cereals and instant noodles. While I was there, I also noticed that there were vegetarian options for all the vegans out there.
A variety of teabags and canned drinks were provided in the lounge. There is also a coffee machine which served pretty bad coffee to be honest. For those of you that won't eat anything unless it came from a packet, you can find instant noodles to be readily available.
For those of you that prefer your coffee Irish instead of black, feel free to help yourself to a generous serving of whiskey.
The hot food selection was pretty limited and I guess since it was pretty early in the morning, the food items were more breakfast orientated. Despite all that, it's still a pretty decent snack if you would like something light before moving on to the next flight.
For those on a longer layover, there's ample reading materials in the lounge - magazines, newspapers and even the computers if you're travelling (extremely) light. Overall a pretty decent lounge with a comfortable environment and the right facilities. It was not extremely fancy but definitely had everything you required for a lengthy layover in Singapore.
