The Villa d'Este is one of the world's grandest hotels that overlook the famed Lake Como in Italy. Diners can look forward to world-class regional specialties, such as an appetising Risotto alla barbabietola, a tangy combination of beetroot risotto, raw scallops and pistachios as a refreshing starter; Crema di baccala, astice blu, a blue lobster topped with salt cod cream and rosemary chips, or Filetto di manzo, an irresistible beef fillet accompanied by a tantalising duck liver-stuffed ravioli, served with apple compote.
Entice the palate further with noteworthy masterpieces, including the savoury Saltimbocca di rana pescatrice, monkfish paired with fregola and clams; delectable Guancetta di vitello brasata, a succulent braised veal cheek and sweet roots puree.
