In celebration of the nation’s golden jubilee, Axis Bar and Lounge at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore presents twelve exclusive locally-themed afternoon tea menus for every month, inspired by Singapore’s rich history of culinary flavours. These menus rotate on a monthly basis so be sure to check out the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore's take on these local snacks! 

Guests can relish in an extravagant five-course afternoon tea set of sweet and savoury delights, kick-starting from January’s Hokkien specialties of Milk Tea with Ginger Foam, Kueh Pie Tee and Chef’s Special Kong Bah Bao; a Hakka-oriented February of Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Greens Pie and Mochi; Teochew Soya Braised Duck Puff with Peanuts and Teochew ‘Or Nee’ Swiss Roll for the month of March; and dig into delightful 

Cantonese Salted Egg Crab in Mini Pita Pockets and Baked Stewed Beef Brisket Pies in May brings an exciting medley of coconut flavours, such as the Beef Rendang Ball with Coconut Crumbs and Nasi Lemak Maki Roll with ‘Hae Bee Hiam’; while June puts the spotlight on the local citrus fruit with the Ice Jelly with Calamansi Sphere and Calamansi Cream Cupcake; reminisce about the glorious past of Singapore alongside the sweet pandan aroma of soft Pandan Chiffon Cake with Coconut Cream and Kaya Butter Sandwich amongst many other noteworthy canapés in July. The king of fruits is certainly not forgotten in August with the exquisite Durian Custard Puff or French Toast with Durian and Butter.

September pays tribute to Singapore’s Indian cuisine with the Indian Fish Curry Triangle Puff and Murtabak Chicken Wrap; October swings by the simple yet satisfying Indian Rojak with Sweet Potato Tamarind Sauce and Fried Roti John with Chicken. The month of November highlights the nation’s diverse cultures with the Fish Moolie Turnover and Putu Mayam with Grated Coconut and Red Sugar, whereas December concludes with the much loved Chicken Curry with Roti Prata topped off with a tantalising Teh Tarik Crème Brulee.

Afternoon Tea at Axis Bar and Lounge is priced at SGD 42 per person, SGD 80 per stand for two guests or SGD 60 per person with one glass of Ruinart Champagne. Afternoon Tea is available daily from 3pm to 5pm from Monday to Friday, and with an additional seating from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
