The newly-renovated Coleman Suite at the Grand Park City Hall may just be the most understated suite in Singapore. Spoiler alert: it comes with a private steam room and outdoor Jacuzzi.
When Park Hotel Group first announced the introduction of the Destination brand, they did not mention whether or not it will be a brand new property that is opening this year or simply a rebrand. It appears that the Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road has quietly been rebranded to the Destination Singapore Beach Road with a more muted colour scheme (in the rooms) but keeping the same affordable price tag.
Park Hotel Clarke Quay has finally unveiled a brand new all-day dining restaurant along Robertson Quay which is out to impress. Occupying the space where Brizo Restaurant & Bar used to sit, PORTA Fine Food & Import Company has transformed this entire space into a venue that exudes beauty and modern charm. The new restaurant shows no remnants of Brizo-past and the food is for the lack of better word, stunning. Led by Executive Chef Michael Suyanto who was previously leading the team in Bistro du Vin with the Les Amis Group, PORTA is truly a pleasant surprise and one that I have been impressed with right from the moment I stepped foot in.
Famous for her luscious and succulent char siew, Mitzo Restaurant & Bar located within the Grand Park Orchard needs no further introduction. This Lunar New Year (2017), celebrate joyful reunions with progressive Cantonese cuisine that is set to impress your friends and family members. The Lunar New Year specialties are available from 14 January 2017 to 11 February 2017 and the restaurant is usually quite popular so make sure you make your reservations early.
The Park Hotel Alexandra is running a Spring Splendour Getaway package on the weekends of 01 March to 31 May 2016. Guests will be able to enjoy full Club benefits as well as a premium roast buffet lunch or dinner for two persons at The Carvery. I've previously stayed in a Crystal Club Room where I've enjoyed complimentary cocktails in the evening and a room with a beautiful view.
Back in July 2015, Park Hotel Group has officially announced the opening of Park Hotel Alexandra and since then, The Carvery (which is located within the hotel) has gained quite a bit of attention for serving great quality meats at an affordable price. The Park Hotel Alexandra is located next to the iconic IKEA along Alexandra Road with pretty impressive and somewhat unobstructed views if you are on the higher floors.
Singaporeans love their buffets and there is plenty to choose from in this little city. Dinner buffets start from as little as S$20 and it goes all the way up to a pretty hefty sum. With all the different themed buffets at contrasting price points, there is definitely at least one to fit the budget and craving that you have. What is hard to find however, is a buffet with quality meats and roasts but The Carvery at the relatively new Park Hotel Alexandra brings to you just that.
If you have been to Clarke Quay (particularly the area around Liang Court), you will probably have noticed the Park Hotel Clarke Quay at some point. The hotel which mimics a gigantic castle houses Brizo Restaurant & Bar on street level. In commemoration of Singapore's Golden Jubilee celebrations this year, Brizo Restaurant & Bar is currently running 'Taste of Singapura' seafood and local buffet between now and 30 September 2015.
Stay two nights for the price of one (from just S$170 nett in total) at all Park Hotel Group properties in Singapore - book by 27 April 2021.
