While I do not generally purchase IHG Rewards Club Points, they can be quite attractive when utilised on high-demand periods (e.g. New Year’s Eve). Members can now purchase IHG Rewards Club Points with a 75% bonus when they complete the transaction between 28 February 2019. If you have immediate demand for these points, now is a great time to purchase them but if you do not have any plans for them, a 100% bonus runs from time to time (but this is not a fixed promotion).

Members are allowed to purchase up to a maximum of 100,000 IHG Rewards Club Points per calendar year and therefore, like I have mentioned earlier on, you should only purchase these at 75% bonus if you have an immediate plan to use them. In order to trigger the 75% bonus, I have to purchase a minimum of 20,000 IHG Rewards Club points - these points are priced at USD 11.50 per 1,000 block if you purchase at least 11,000 but the price per 1,000 block is USD 13.50 if you purchase a lower amount.
