United Airlines is currently running a bonus on miles purchase (and gifting) until 25 March 2019 - eligible members will be able to purchase United Airlines MileagePlus Miles and get up to 70,000 bonus miles. Miles are typically priced at USD 35 per 1,000 block and there is a 7.5% tax recovery fee that will be levied upon the final amount. While some may argue that these miles may not be exceedingly useful in this part of the world, it may be extremely useful if you are planning some long-distance travel.

The United Airlines MileagePlus Miles may be utilised for the United Polaris Business Class or to fly on ANA First Class to the US just to name a few. United Airlines seem to run these promotions (the highest I have seen is 100% bonus) from time to time but do note that your account may be limited to 175,000 purchased miles each year (including all the bonuses).
