Emirates to Launch Daily Flights between Singapore and Penang (with First and Business Class) from 9 April 2020
Starting from 09 April 2020, Emirates will be operating a new daily service between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Penang International Airport (PEN) via Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). This route will be operated by an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration.
Penang will become Emirates’ second destination in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur served by three flights daily since 1996. The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will feature eight private suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 304 spacious seats in Economy Class. The new route enables travellers from the Northern cities of Malaysia to enjoy convenient onward connections from Dubai to destinations in Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Cathay Pacific has announced another fuel surcharge reduction, effective 16 July 2026. Long-haul rates fall to USD 123.70 per sector - the lowest level since the spike in March 2026.
