2% Price Increase on Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles - 40% Bonus on Purchase Still On-going
Thinking about a premium cabin redemption soon? You can now purchase Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan MIles with a 40% bonus until 16 February 11:59 PM (PST), so long a minimum purchase amount is met. While that is a good deal if you have an immediate use for these miles, it appears that the price has been increased silently.

Previously, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan MIles can be purchased at USD 27.50 per 1,000 block before the tax recovery fee - this has now increased to USD 28.05 per 1,000 block (2% price hike) without any prior notification. Now this should not really affect your decision to purchase because you can still get excellent value redeeming these miles for Business Class and First Class on Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific respectively, it should be something that you consider before making the purchase. As a kind reminder, using the OCBC 90°N Card for this promotion will give you 4 miles per dollar on purchases with no cap and no limit so that is the card I would recommend you spend on if you wish to clock up additional miles with this expense.
