Alaska Airlines to Join Oneworld Alliance, 50% Bonus on Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles - Purchase by 26 August 2020
Alaska Airlines is on track to join oneworld in becoming the alliance's 14th member airline. Once again, members can purchase Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles with a 50% bonus if they make their purchases before the end of 26 August 2020. Upon becoming a member of oneworld, customers will be able to earn and redeem their Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles on all oneworld member airlines.

Even though I am typically based in Singapore, I have utilised Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles on many occasions - redeeming them for Business Class flights on Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific for a fraction of what other carriers are charging has been rewarding. As usual, non-elite members can purchase up to 150,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles each year but there are no limits for MVP, MVP Gold, and MVP 75K members.
It is worth noting that the terms and conditions for this offer explicitly state that the offer is only "applicable to U.S. and Canadian members only" so do keep that in mind if you are based in other parts of the world.
