Marriott Bonvoy unveiled the latest Global Promotion yesterday - members can earn 2,500 bonus points per stay and an additional 5,000 bonus points (on top of the 2,500) after consuming the third eligible stay during the promotional period. Registration for the promotion is required and only stays booked after the registration is eligible for the bonus Marriott Bonvoy points. Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview (Premium Room)
Do note that the time of writing, the hotel has not yet been approved by STB and MTI for staycations yet. It goes without saying that the Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview is probably not my dream staycation hotel but it is an excellent place for mattress runs (especially so if you hold Platinum Elite and higher status in the Marriott Bonvoy program). The S$88 F&B Credit that comes with this room promotion can be utilised across Four Points Eatery, Imperial Restaurant, and The Best Brew. Platinum Elite and higher tier members used to enjoy complimentary drinks and canapes in the evening but I am not certain whether this will be the case in a post-COVID world.
The Vacay With a Staycay! room package also comes with complimentary buffet breakfast so Platinum Elite and higher members can opt for the bonus points as a welcome amenity. After subtracting out the S$88 F&B credit, the price of a room night is effectively S$100 nett. Now, some of you out there will probably point out that the S$88 credit is actually worth a lot lesser but even if you were to assign a 50% valuation on the credits, it is still a fantastic deal. Most importantly, this room package is a fantastic way to take advantage of the latest Marriott Bonvoy global promotion - this is what you will get if you were to do three one-night stays at the Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview as a Platinum Elite and higher tier member:

Getting 19,205 Marriott Bonvoy points (worth approximately S$192.05) from spending just S$564 nett (or S$300 after adjusting for F&B credits) is phenomenal and I will definitely recommend doing this if you are looking to do a few mattress runs during the promotional period. To be honest, the local food at Four Points Eatery is actually quite good (just avoid the buffet experience) so the S$88 credit can be put to pretty good use.
