OCBC to update MCC Exclusion List from 01 April 2021 - New Merchant Category Codes to be Excluded from Rewards and Rebates
OCBC Bank has just published the updated terms and conditions for their suite of credit cards, and with the upcoming changes that will go live on 01 April 2021, there will be new Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) that will be added to the exclusion list - cardholders will not be able to earn rewards and rebates on transactions that fall under these MCCs.
Six new MCCs will be added to the MCC exclusion list from 01 April 2021 (which means that OCBC cardholders will no longer be able to earn any points/rebates/rewards on these transactions) and they are as follows:
4111, 4121, 4131 (applicable to Plus! Debit and Credit Cards): Payments made to Grab Transport, Gojek and licensed taxi operators (including Comfort, Citycab, Transcab, SMRT Taxi, Premier Taxi,Prime Taxi and HDT Taxi) will continue to earn rewards/rebates
5047 (applicable to all OCBC Cards): Healthcare – Medical, Dental, Ophthalmic and Hospital Equipment and Supplies
5262 (applicable to all OCBC Cards): ShopeePay
8062 (applicable to all OCBC Cards except VOYAGE Cards and the Premier VISA Infinite Credit Card): Hospitals
