A Curious Go with Amex Offer for The Peninsula Hotels - Spend S$500, Get S$100 Back
In May 2024, American Express unveiled seven hotel-specific offers, providing up to S$790 in statement credits for each registered card. As a long-time American Express Platinum member, I’ve regularly been targeted for these offers on my primary card. However, I was surprised to see a new offer pop up today on my American Express Singapore Airlines Business Credit Card—an Amex offer for The Peninsula Hotels, providing S$100 in statement credits for spending S$500 before 31 December 2024.
While it’s common for offers to be retargeted to cards that didn’t receive them in the first wave, the Peninsula Hotels offer was not included in the original "Go with Amex" promotions. In fact, this marks the first time I have received an offer on the business credit card that wasn’t available on The Platinum Card. Like other "Go with Amex" offers, this promotion is only limited to participating Peninsula properties in China, France, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
It will be interesting to see if this offer is extended to other American Express credit cards in the coming days, as it seems unlikely that an offer with a 12,000-card enrollment cap would remain exclusive to the American Express Singapore Airlines Business Credit Card.
