Earn up to 5,700 Bonus Asia Miles with Cathay’s Rewards in the Air Campaign
The festive season is upon us, and Cathay Pacific is adding a little extra cheer for members based outside of Hong Kong. The loyalty programme has just launched a new targeted campaign titled Rewards in the Air, running from 11 December 2025 to 31 January 2026. By completing a series of six mini-missions, eligible members can unlock up to 5,700 bonus Asia Miles.
This promotion appears to be targeted, though quite widely available to international members (residents outside of Hong Kong). You should check your email inbox for a direct invitation or log in to your Cathay account to see if the registration banner appears for you.
The campaign is broken down into six distinct missions. While some are low-hanging fruit (like checking into the app), others require a bit of planning regarding credit card points transfers or flight redemptions. Here is the breakdown of the missions and the bonus miles awarded for each:
| Mission | Requirement | Bonus Miles |
|---|---|---|
| Mission 1 | Complete 1 eligible transaction (earn or redeem) | 500 |
| Mission 2 | Complete transactions across 2+ categories | 1,000 |
| Mission 3 | Accumulate earnings of 20,000+ Asia Miles | 2,000 |
| Mission 4 | Redeem 15,000+ Asia Miles | 2,000 |
| Mission 5 | Complete the “check-in mission” on the Asia Miles app | 100 |
| Mission 6 | Opt-in to all Cathay communication channels | 100 |
| TOTAL | Complete all 6 missions | 5,700 |
f you are planning to travel or have a stack of credit card points waiting to be transferred, this is an excellent opportunity to maximise your return. Mission 3 (Earn 20,000 Miles) is likely the easiest high-value target for Singapore-based members. By transferring credit card points to Asia Miles, you can trigger this 2,000-mile bonus. Do note that the transfer must be credited by 28 February 2026, but the transaction must be initiated within the promotion period.
Mission 4 (Redeem 15,000 Miles) is also relatively straightforward. A one-way Economy Class redemption from Singapore to Hong Kong typically starts from 9,000 Asia Miles, so a return trip or a Business Class redemption would easily clear the 15,000 threshold.
If you have received the invitation, be sure to register immediately to ensure your upcoming travel and spending counts towards these goals.
