Buy Hilton Honors Points with 100% Bonus (0.5 US Cents Each)
Hilton Honors has launched its final points sale for the year, and it is a good one. From now until 31 December 2025, members can purchase Hilton Honors points with a 100% bonus. While a 100% bonus is par for the course with Hilton (we typically see this offer return every other month), the headlines here are the purchase limits. For this promotion, the annual purchase limit has been increased to 240,000 points (pre-bonus). This means you can effectively buy up to 480,000 points in a single calendar year - a massive increase from the standard 80,000 point cap.

If you have been following my recent travels on Instagram (@theshutterwhale), you might have seen my stay at the stunning Waldorf Astoria Osaka. This increased limit is particularly exciting because it allows you to buy exactly enough points for a five-night stay at this property in one go.
It is important to log in and check your specific offer, as my account only require me to buy a minimum of 5,000 points in order to trigger the full 100% bonus. This is great news for those who only need a small top-up for a redemption, as you are not forced to commit to a larger block of points just to unlock the best price per point. Hilton Honors points are typically sold for 1.0 US cent each when there is no promotion. With the 100% bonus, the cost drops to 0.5 US cents per point.
| Points to Buy | Bonus Points | Total Points | Cost (USD) | Cost Per Point (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | 5,000 | 10,000 | $50 | 0.50 cents |
| 40,000 | 40,000 | 80,000 | $400 | 0.50 cents |
| 80,000 | 80,000 | 160,000 | $800 | 0.50 cents |
| 160,000 | 160,000 | 320,000 | $1,600 | 0.50 cents |
| 240,000 | 240,000 | 480,000 | $2,400 | 0.50 cents |
I recently stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Osaka, and it is a fantastic example of why buying points can make sense. This property now charges 120,000 points per night for a standard room. If you hold Hilton Honors Silver status or higher, you are eligible for the 5th Night Free benefit on award stays.
Here is how the maths works out if you buy points for a 5-night stay:
Standard Cost (Points): 120,000 points x 5 nights = 600,000 points
With 5th Night Free (Points): 120,000 points x 4 nights = 480,000 points
Cost to Buy (Points): 480,000 points x 0.5 US cents = US$2,400
By purchasing the maximum allowance of points in this sale, you can cover a 5-night stay for US$2,400 nett. This works out to just US$480 per night. Considering cash rates at the Waldorf Astoria Osaka often start upwards of US$600++ (approx. JPY 90,000) and can easily soar past US$1,000 during peak seasons like cherry blossom or autumn foliage, buying points is a significantly cheaper way to secure a stay at one of Osaka’s finest luxury hotels.
The limit has been lifted to 240,000 points (pre-bonus) for this promotion. This resets every calendar year, so you have until 31 December 2025 to max out this year's cap. With the limit tripled to 480,000 total points, this is one of the best opportunities we have seen to acquire a large balance of points quickly. If you are planning a trip to Japan in 2026, locking in a stay at the Waldorf Astoria Osaka for US$480 per night is an absolute steal.
Even if you hold top-tier status with a major hotel chain, booking a Luxury Travel Advisor rate can unlock significant additional value.
