Earn 2X Points on IHG Stays This September 2025 (From Your Second Stay Onwards)

IHG One Rewards has just launched a new promotion that will allow members to earn double points on qualifying stays between 1–30 September 2025. Registration is now open, and as with most IHG promos, you’ll need to register before your stay to be eligible.

This promotion is open to all IHG One Rewards members globally, and once you’ve registered, you’ll earn 2X base points on every stay from your second qualifying stay onwards during the promo period, with no cap on the bonus you can earn. Remember, your first stay won’t earn bonus points, but all subsequent stays within the same promotion period will.

To count towards the promotion, your booking must meet the following criteria:

• Stay must be booked directly via IHG (website, app, or call centre)

• A Qualifying Rate must be used (e.g. Best Flexible Rate, Member Rate, Advanced Purchase)

• Spend at least USD 30 per night (unclear whether room rates averaging USD 30 will qialify)

• Reward Nights and Points & Cash bookings are excluded

IHG allows only one room per night to count towards a promotion, even if you book multiple rooms. Bonus points are calculated on base points only and do not count towards Elite tier qualification. While this isn’t the most aggressive promotion we’ve seen from IHG, the lack of a bonus cap makes it attractive for frequent travellers, especially if you’re already planning a few stays in September. Just remember that registration is required, and your first stay won’t earn bonus points.
