The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong has finally opened its door officially in the Lion City's first heritage town, the Joo Chiat neighbourhood of Katong. The 451-room property is the largest Holiday Inn Express hotel to open in Singapore and it is nestled amongst a number of cultural landmarks and famous Peranakan eateries.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world’s largest hotel companies, has signed a management agreement with consortium Katong Holdings Private Limited to develop Singapore's first Hotel Indigo property at Joo Chiat, one of the country's key heritage sites. The 131-room Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong will mark the entry of IHG's boutique brand onto Singapore's shores. The deal will also see the development of the third and largest Holiday Inn Express in Singapore: the 451-room Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong.
