A Quick Guide to Priority Banking in Singapore
A Priority Banking Account is kind of like achieving elite status in a hotel chain's loyalty program - except instead of room nights, they measure your value to the organisation based on what you have at the bank (also known as Asset Under Management - AUM). Find out and compare the different Priority Banking accounts in Singapore and find one that suits you best!

In my previous article on earning bonus miles by signing up for credit cards, I mentioned that it was possible to earn up to 8,000 bonus miles when you sign up for the DBS Altitude Visa Signature Credit Card. The requirements for earning this 8,000 bonus miles have changed.
Earning Miles in US versus Singapore - A Citi Prestige Case Study
Everyone in Singapore knows that our credit cards pale in comparison to our US counterparts - in terms of miles accrual. Since I have been eyeing the Citi Prestige Card from Citibank for a while now, I decided to find out once and for all, just how different they are exactly. The first thing you will probably notice is how much better the card actually looks in the US (as compared to Singapore). Find a summary of difference at the bottom of the article too!
Summary of Bonus Miles with Credit Card Sign-up

Stay Once for at least 3,000 KrisFlyer Miles on Kaligo
I have always been a strong advocate for Kaligo because it offers up to 12 miles per S$1 spent on hotel reservations. In fact, quite recently as part of my article on 6 ways to earn more miles this year, I mentioned that sometimes not having a hotel loyalty status is a good thing to have. From now until 29 February 2016, make your first booking on Kaligo and get 3,000 bonus KrisFlyer Miles. If you spend US$1,000 during this promotional period, you will get a total of 10,000 bonus KrisFlyer Miles!
6 Ways to earn more Miles in 2016
It is no secret that I enjoy luxury travel and doing so does not always mean paying a huge price for it. Sure, luxury hotels and business (or even suite) class tickets do not come cheap but they are highly attainable (even more so than you think!). I've put together a list of things you can easily do to earn more miles for 2016 - it is one of my new year's resolutions and hopefully by the end of this article, it will be one of yours too!
Buying Le Club Accorhotels Gold Elite Status
You used to be able to get immediate Platinum Elite status on the Le Club Accorhotels loyalty program when you hold a minimum of 50 Accor shares. At the time of writing, Accor shares are worth €41.50 each and therefore 50 Accor shares should set you back around €2,075 (approx. S$3,200). This benefit has been revised earlier this year and holding the Accor shares will now only give you the Gold Elite status. Instead of putting that money into an investment, did you know that you can purchase the Gold Elite status from Accor for a mere €90?
Buying IHG Rewards Club Platinum Elite Status in Singapore

This new elite status requires 75 eligible nights in a year (approximately one in five nights). Find out how you can purchase the Platinum Elite status outright in Singapore without having to stay a night in any participating IHG properties.
