Hotel Review: Grand Park City Hall (Crystal Club Superior)

The most iconic Grand Park hotel in Singapore is probably the one that is directly above Abercrombie & Fitch in Orchard Road. However, not many people (me included) know that the Grand Park City Hall located in well, City Hall, used to be the Grand Plaza Parkroyal Singapore hotel. The Grand Park City Hall is just minutes away from City Hall MRT, making it an excellent base to explore the area surrounding the hotel. If you are interested in photography or gadgets, you are also a stone's throw away from Funan IT Mall (which you should go instead of Sim Lim Square).

The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Johor Bahru is located just minutes away after clearing the Woodlands Checkpoint. In fact, due to its proximity, it is very possible for you visit even if you are not driving - simply take a bus into Johor Bahru and then flag a taxi from there (less than RM5 on meter) or if you are feeling a little adventurous, take a walk!  Check out my review of the Executive Room here!

This year the PARKROYAL on Beach Road has unveiled their newly refurbished Premier Rooms. Having found a really good rate on an OTA, I decided to give the Premier Rooms a go during the Lunar New Year break (particularly because I did not have any visiting to do too).  Even though I personally value a bath tub highly during a staycation, I think the newly refurbished rooms are truly a breath of fresh air. Hotel Review: The Regent Singapore

The Regent Singapore is a Four Seasons hotel that is located near to Tanglin, slightly off-Orchard Road. Boasting 440 classically appointed rooms and suites, The Regent Singapore may look slightly dated on the exterior  but after staying there last month, I can safely say that the hotel is slowly making its way to one of my top few favourite hotels in Singapore. Most importantly, The Regent Singapore is one of the rare few hotels in Singapore that allows you to bring a pet along (to stay) with you.
