Seoul will be getting her fourth Hyatt-branded property in 2019 - the Andaz Gangnam, Seoul. Slated to open in the city's famous Apgujeong neighbourhood, the Andaz Gangnam, Seoul will be South Korea's first Andaz-branded hotel and it will be minutes away from the Han River with high-end shopping and independent design labels located nearby.

Available from 9-22 July 2018 only, beef-lovers will be able to indulge in a premium Wagyu Bento lunch special at the Pan Pacific Singapore's award-winning Japanese restaurant, Keyaki. The bento is specially-curated by Executive Chef Shinichi Nakatake to showcase the smooth and buttery flavours of this prized delicacy.

The 150-room (inclusive of 18 suites) W Kuala Lumpur is currently taking room reservations from October 2018 even though the official website still states that the property will be opening on 31 August 2018 at the time of writing.

When local developer EL Development Pte Ltd bought over the Singtel Hill Street site back in 2017, it has already been announced that the plot of land would be used to develop an upscale hotel. Today, AccorHotels and EL Development Pte Ltd have announced that they will build a five-star Pullman Singapore (which will also become Singapore's first Pullman-branded property) that will feature a rooftop bar and executive lounge with sweeping views over Fort Canning, the Singapore River and St Andrew’s Cathedral, along with a vibrant lobby, health and fitness centre and pool.

The iconic Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi will be rebranded into the first Andaz-branded hotel in the Middle East late 2018. The hotel which is currently owned by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) will turn the iconic ‘Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi’ into Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi.

Located in the forested area of Ong Doi Cape in Vietnam, the Premier Village Phu Quoc is the latest property in Vietnam to open. Managed by AccorHotels, this is an all-pool-villa resort on Vietnam’s “Pearl Island”, where guests can enjoy sunrise, sunset, and plenty of sun-kissed island moments in between. The resort opens onto crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and magnificent ocean views, framed in the verdant jungle surroundings. Fairmont Jakarta has won four prestigious awards at the International Hotel Awards 2018 which was held in Bangkok last month. The property which is located in Senayan Square, was granted the title of Best Luxury Hotel in Indonesia.

While 2018 is a fairly unimpressive year where new hotel openings are concerned (even though we will finally see The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore opening later this year), Far East Hospitality will be opening three new properties in Sentosa come 2019. The company has just announced The Barracks Hotel which is the third and last property on the man-made island and this is going to be operating under a new brand under its portfolio. All three hotels will be located at the Artillery Avenue in the Palawan area of Sentosa.
