Hotel Review: Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu (Ocean Wing Panorama Room)

Philippines is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes and beaches in the world. While Boracay and Palawan often come to minds of people who dream of perfect beach vacations, Cebu should be right there too - alongside delicious Cebuano cuisine like the lip-smacking lechon. During my visit to Cebu a number of months back, I stayed in a Ocean Wing Panorama Room at the Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu. Check out what makes this the best hotel in Cebu, Philippines!

Traditional Japanese Cuisine with a Contemporary Twist at Kazahana - Conrad Tokyo

The Conrad Tokyo is one of the most highly-rated hotels in the city of Tokyo - some of the rooms and suites overlooks the iconic Tokyo Bay and the Hamarikyu Gardens which is just stunning in the fall. When I visited Tokyo last month, I stayed in one of the Bay View Rooms with Executive Lounge access (from my Hilton HHonors Diamond Status) for two nights and during the stay, I took the opportunity to check out Kazahana (a Japanese restaurant within the Conrad Tokyo) which was easily one of the best meals that I have ever had in Tokyo.

Gourmet by Le Planteur in Yangon, Myanmar - Romantic and Luxurious French Restaurant by Inya Lake

I visited the city of Yangon in September 2016 and was blown away by the energy and striking contrast between old and new. The former capital of Myanmar has been opening up a lot more in recent years and it is always great to visit a city like that when it is still in its infancy stage of tourism development. After hearing so much about Le Planteur online and from people who have been there, I decided to check it out one afternoon myself to find out why Le Planteur is constantly talked-about as the best restaurant in Yangon.

Hotel Review: Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa (Villa du Jardin)

When I stayed in the Junior Suite of the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa earlier this year, I fell in love with the place - in fact, I dare say it is my favourite hotel in Sentosa for a weekend escape in Singapore. I had the recent opportunity of running a company event at this beautiful property once more in the crème de la crème room type - the Villa du Jardin. Since I could not seem to find enough photos of the villa while I was researching the place, I made it a point to take a couple of photos so people will know what to expect if they are going to shell out over S$2,000 a night for this amazing space.

The Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok ranks amongst some of the best luxury hotels in the world. Celebrating her 140th birthday this year, the property is located along the famous Chao Phraya River and it is only a short boat ride from the majestic Grand Palace.

Hotel Review: InterContinental Singapore (Heritage Suite)

After getting an InterContinental Ambassador membership (which honestly should be something everyone gets!) earlier this year, I have been really motivated to stay at the InterContinental Singapore a lot more. I stayed in the iconic Heritage Suite of the InterContinental Singapore one weekend after hearing so much about it from frequent flyers and international travelers. Previously known as the Shophouse Suite, the Heritage Suite combines the rich Peranakan heritage with shophouse living. Located on the same floor as the Club InterContinental, the Heritage Suites offer 55sqm of space with all the modern-day comforts that you require.

Hotel Review: Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore (Valley Wing)

If there was one hotel I had to pick for exclusivity and opulence, it has to be the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. There are three major wings in the hotel - Tower, Garden and Valley (in order of extravagance). While I did fall in love with the Garden Wing where I stayed previously in a Deluxe Pool View Room, since it reminded me of a resort away from the city, the Valley Wing is on a different league of its own. According to reputable sources within the hotel, the Valley Wing was also where Barack Obama (and various other heads of state as well as celebrities) stayed during his visit to Singapore.

Hotel Review: Mandarin Oriental Singapore (Club Harbour Room)

When I visited the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore last year in September, I took advantage of the City Retreat package which came with a night's accommodation in the Premier Ocean room and Champagne Brunch for two the following day. Having spent my previous Christmas Eve in Hilton Singapore, I wanted some place a little more special and therefore I opted for the Club Harbour room in the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.
