Read MoreMy flight from Shanghai to Singapore was on a relatively new plane (9V-SKU) and as you would imagine, the Business Class cabin features the new cabin products. The Business Class seats have 55" of seat pitch and 30" of seat width - this is fairly similar to what the previous Business Class product on the A380-800 offers but strangely enough, I know a handful of people who actually prefer the previous product for sleeping. The Singapore Airlines lounge which opened back in May 2017 is one of the most highly-rated SQ airport lounges in the region so I was actually pretty excited to check it out personally. There is a lack of signage in my opinion so if you are having trouble locating the lounge, it is actually located near to Gate D7.

Read MoreSingapore Airlines has just announced Adelaide as the launch destination for their new Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft. The aircraft will be fitted with 303 seats across two cabin class - 40 seats in Business Class and 263 seats in Economy Class - and it will be equipped with the recently launched regional Business Class and Economy Class cabin products. The new A350-900 will operate as SQ279 from Singapore to Adelaide and SQ278 from Adelaide back to Singapore from 17 December 2018 (subject to regulatory approval).
