EMPRESS by The Privé Group officially opens at the Asian Civilisations Museum
A brand new flagship concept has materialised at the recently re-launched Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM). EMPRESS by The Privé Group features design from Takenouchi Webb and it exudes a modern design that harmonizes the Chinese elements and ACM's historical reference. The high-ceiling indoor dining area creates a greater sense of space and the outdoor dining terrace offers an impressive waterfront view of the Singapore River. There is also an intimate private room known as Canton (up to 14 diners) for those who crave for a little more privacy.
The indoor dining room sits up to 86 diners comfortably and there six-meter bar with beautiful tall bar-back open shelves with views through to the building's historical walls, sit in the center of this stage.
The cuisine explores traditional Cantonese flavours with contemporary presentations and interpretations - set to excite traditionalists and modernists. Signatures at EMPRESS include the Triple Roast Platter (S$28++) which highlights the Spanish Grain-Fed Duroc pig breed through the Crackling Roast Pork, EMPRESS Char Siew, and EMPRESS Sweet & Sticky Pork Ribs.

For those of you looking to end the meal on a sweet note, check out some of the Western-inspired desserts like the Cempedak Crème Brûlée (S$13++) which is topped with fresh and dried jackfruit. Other dessert highlights include the following:

- Sticky Date & Longan Pudding (S$12++)
- Jasmine Tea-Poached Pear (S$12++)
Set lunches and dinners are also available from just S$18++ per person for large gatherings while Dim Sum (served daily) starts from just S$5.20++.
Finally, for those who enjoy a drink or two in the evening, the brand new 56-seater EMPRESS Bar (located at the alfresco terrace) offers happy hour promotions from 4-8PM daily. Look out for signatures like the Beijing Bellini ($18), a concoction of dry Italian processo, lychee wine and lychee nut, the Lotus Blossom ($18) with vodka, pear liqueur, sake, lychee nut, lime and pear, or a twist on the classic Bloody Mary - the Shandong Mary ($18) with a blend of beer, vodka, tomato juice, chili-garlic sauce and lemon. Topping the uniquely EMPRESS experience, EMPRESS Bar also offers a small but well-curated selection of cigars, perfect for cigar enthusiasts and dabblers alike.
