This is probably the last time Starpoints are going for 35% off - you have until 20 July 2018 to purchase up to 30,000 Starpoints and receive a massive discount off the regular price. As you should already know, the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) program will be merging with Marriott Rewards and Ritz-Carlton Rewards in August 2018 so if you do take advantage of this promotion, the 30,000 Starpoints will be converted into 90,000 Marriott Rewards points in August.
The 150-room (inclusive of 18 suites) W Kuala Lumpur is currently taking room reservations from October 2018 even though the official website still states that the property will be opening on 31 August 2018 at the time of writing.
I recently travelled to Tampa (from New York) on Delta Air Lines and checked out the domestic First Class product. The journey to Tampa from Singapore was a rather long one and at the end of the trip, I was just really happy to check-in to The Westin Tampa Waterside where I stayed for a week (since it was fairly close to where I needed to be for my day job). Even though I did not have top-tier Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) status, I was upgraded to a Waterview Room which was two levels up from the lead-in room category. Check out my review of The Westin Tampa Waterside here!

Uber has been my preferred method of transport and being able to earn 1 Starpoint per USD (albeit little) has been a nice bonus throughout the last couple of years. I have received an email today notifying me that the Uber and SPG partnership will end after 17 December 2017 and members will no longer be able to earn Starpoints from rides.
Suzhou is often recognised as one of China's most famous historical and cultural cities. The first Le Méridien hotel to open in Suzhou, the Le Méridien Suzhou, Suzhou Bay, is expected to provide creative-minded guests and travellers the opportunity to unlock the destination through the Le Méridien brand lens which highlights coordinates, culture and cuisine.
The Vagabond Club is Singapore's very first and only Tribute Portfolio hotel. Previously known as Hotel Vagabond, The Vagabond Club has only recently gone through a name change to reflect a more intimate and consistent setting. Tribute Portfolio properties (which fall under the greater umbrella of Starwood Hotels & Resorts) are essentially independent hotels with an inspired style. Having stayed in a number of Starwood Hotels & Resorts properties in Singapore and around the world, I was excited to check out my very first Tribute Portfolio property, The Vagabond Club.
The Warehouse Hotel which was one of the most highly-anticipated hotels to open in Singapore this year has now officially become part of Design Hotels under the portfolio of Starwood Hotels and Resorts. What this means for us point-chasers is that you will now be able to earn Starpoints on eligible room and F&B spend at The Warehouse Hotel.
Escape to Hotel Vagabond, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Singapore on weekends when you book the Maxout Weekends package which starts from just S$265++ per night! Enjoy a complimentary late check-out at 2:00PM as well as a choice of breakfast or a 3-course set lunch by Chef Aaron.
I visited Kuala Lumpur a number of times last month to complete a series of mattress runs as I wanted to achieve SPG Platinum Elite before the program merges officially on 18 August 2018. I visited the Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur and stayed in one of the newly-renovated Le Meridien Club Rooms!
