Mid-Autumn Festival (2015) at InterContinental Singapore
Delicious mooncakes are synonymous with the yearly Mid-Autumn Festival and the InterContinental Singapore delights us with a variety of flavours and texture this year with the creations from Man Fu Yuan. In conjunction with the InterContinental Singapore's 20th Year celebrations, the special commemorative box (which comes with every 4 pieces of mooncakes) which features the multifaceted Bugis is designed specifically by the director and designer of The Fingersmith Letterpress, Jacqueline Goh.
Man Fu Yuan brings out the delicately-crafted Snowskin Tea Mooncake Selection (冰皮精选茶系列月饼) this season which consists of four delectable flavours at a really reasonable price of S$66 (find out how you can save an extra 30% off this price below!):
- Earl Grey and Baileys Truffle with White Lotus Paste (伯爵茶奶酒白莲蓉)
- Japanese Matcha (日本抹茶)

My personal favourite is one that debuted last year at the InterContinental Singapore - the Baked Shanghai Mooncake (枫糖上海单黄月饼) which is priced at S$64 for 4 pieces comes with a new (but equally satisfying) maple-glazed short crust pastry. The pastry is buttery and the smooth white lotus paste inside is of the right sweetness to balance the difference in flavours. This will definitely be a crowd-pleaser!
